The place.
Big room, hot water, a pool that was large enough to swim lengths. Right on the water, great vista to sit on deck. Solid breakfast. But the best thing is the staff, particularly front of house fellow Giovani. He speaks very fluent English and knows so much about local history and customs it adds so much value to the stay to sit down and chat with him for half an hour. I’m sure he had other stuff to do but he didn’t make you feel like that and it greatly augmented my understanding of the town and its culture.
It is a top flight property. On the edge of the central area, and I have some mobility issues so it meant a bit of walking. But that’s me, I wouldn’t have thought twice about it when I didn’t have the issues. And tuk tuks whiz by in abundance so if you don’t want to walk Q5 or Q10 will get you where you’re going easily.
The relaxed atmosphere. The knowledge and assistance of the manager. Provision of sandwiches to take away when leaving before breakfast on final morning.
Being predominantly built with wooden boarding the room tended to shake a bit if many people walked passed. Slightly invonvenient needing cash to pay (as opposed to card payment at every other hotel I stayed at in Guatemala)
Hotel manager Roberto er meget venlig og hjælpsom.
Stor tak for hjælp.
L'eau chaude dans la douche
Great spot on the water. The hotel manager is super friendly and helpful. I would stay here again!
I really loved the receptionist Edbin, he was extremely hospitable and attentive to our requests i.e shuttle service to Rio Dulce.
There’s nothing I didn’t like! Everything was honestly perfect!
It was okay at best. Booked cause it had decent reviews and nice photos, the place felt outdated. Only one staff on location at any time and they weren’t very friendly. They did point me in the right direction to get laundry done, so I guess that’s something. The pool was unusable! The photos made it look so nice but all the tiles on the steps to get in were broken and sharp, and it had a ton of algae in it the one day we went to use it, which just made it feel unsafe. The room itself was decent, spacious with a much needed Ac that worked great. The “king” bed was two twin pushed together, which is fine but they were very hard and pillows were janky. The shower had good hot water but not good pressure. Oh and the restaurant was non existent. We were told that breakfast was available but when we tried it was closed and no one was around, ever! None of the amenities that were listed were available. Luckily we were able to get food right next door and if we were to ever come back to Livingston we would honestly go somewhere else!
The view from our suite was nice.
The property is a shabby, the staff is not attentive and breakfast is very ordinary. The restaurant is open for breakfast only. The property does not accept credit cards, but wants payment in cash or via PayPal. The location shown on booking.com is not correct. It is located on the other side of the town. The property is about 1.2 km from downtown.
I loved it so much. It’s exactly how you see in the pictures. Doesn’t feel like a hotel at all. Cozy, colorful & lots of art.
The ONLY small thing I didn’t like is that with the “desayuno chapin” there’s no option of sausage. That’s really it.
Staff was accommodating; friendly and knowledgeable
Great location clean and spacious rooms
A very comfortable stay
The property is a bit dated. Needs some upgrades but still good calue
Friendly and helpful staff. Nice, clean, and beautiful place.
Hot water wasn't quite warm but not really an issue.
