A peaceful & relaxing resort for a 3 night mini break.
Pros:

A wonderful peaceful resort with a beautiful pool, comfortable rooms and good dining options. The staff in all areas were super friendly and helpful, even allowing us access to their concierge room to store our bikes during the stay.

Cons:

2 minor things to mention. The fridge in our room was never really cold so if you do have drinks or snacks they may not last well. Secondly, I originally booked a room with 2 twin beds (for 2 adults and a teenager) having been told the beds were a really good size. On arrival it was clear that the sleeping space would be a bit tight for the 3 of us but, the staff quickly recognised this and arranged for an extra bed for our son…not a negative as such, more just something to be aware of.

Not what was expected when we made the booking.
Pros:

I didn’t get to the resort as they cancelled our booking the day before we were due to go, owing to a Government booking. They offered an alternative resort, which we accepted and which was very nice. However it wasn’t what we were looking for and consequently not what we wanted.

Pros:

The location and how secluded it is , you can see the clear skies and breathe the fresh air !

Amazing rooms , loved the pool and the in-house restaurants .

The hospitality is top notch , you can feel the warmth and kindness of every staff member in every interaction with them.

Cons:

I believe the breakfast can be better - the buffet options are quite limited and often keep running out . Having said that they have an amazing eggs menu , which doesn’t let the breakfast feel boring !

Beautiful retreat in the desert!
Pros:

Al Wathba is stunning! So beautiful to be out in the desert and to enjoy the tranquility of the area!

Cons:

We booked a room with a pool, but sadly, we could only use it once, as there is a lamp above the pool, where pigeons roost, and they then heavily pooped in the pool whilst we were at supper, and so we then couldn’t use it.
As it was the evening, and we had been told that a pool man would clean the pool in the morning, we weren’t too concerned, and thought we would be able to swim in the morning, but unfortunately they don’t come in the morning, so we were disappointed to not be able to use our pool. If we returned, we wouldn’t book a room with a pool- not worth it.

Would definitely stay again
Pros:

“Top-notch service. It was a perfect decision to stay in a calm location away from the city rush - exactly what we needed to recover from jet lag. There’s a great variety of restaurants (the Moroccan restaurant is a must-try!), and the buggies were a fantastic experience. The breakfast offered a wide selection as well. We would definitely stay here again.”

Ein Traumurlaub in der Wüste!
Pros:

Wir haben einen phantastischen Aufenthalt im Al Wathba Resort erleben dürfen. Unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Wo fange ich an? Die Lage des Resorts ist sehr schön; es ist sehr ruhig und idyllisch. Trotzdem ist es kein Problem, in ca 45 Minuten in der Stadt zu sein. Unser zimmer war sehr geräumig; die Pflegeprodukte im Bad hochwertig. Alles war sehr sauber, Extrawünsche wurden sofort erfüllt. Unser liebenswürdiger Butler Barnabas versorgte uns noch mit einer Flasche Wein und Macrons, so aufmerksam. Das Frühstücksbuffet ließ kulinarisch keinen Wunsch offen, ebenso das wunderbare Iftar-Buffet, das wir zweimal genießen durften. Alles war perfekt organisiert und auf sehr hohem Niveau. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr aufmerksam und nett; leider konnten wir uns nicht alle Namen merken; stellvertretend für so viele möchten wir Ms. Khin und Mr Ishak vom Frühstücksteam nennen und Mr Hakin von der Rezeption. Jedoch war wirklich jeder einzelne Mitarbeiter wunderbar. Sehr schön ist auch der Spa-Bereich; wie die ganze Anlage ist auch der Spabereich wunderschön und großzügig konzipiert. Wir haben uns in diese Anlage verliebt und werden sehr gerne wiederkommen. Unser herzlichstes Dankeschön für diesen unvergesslich schönen Aufenthalt.
