This is my third visit to Haikou with my husband and the Langham did not disappoint. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The bed was enormous and extremely comfortable. Daily housekeeping was prompt and efficient. Our room had a beautiful view of the sea and the Evergreen park. The Ever
green park was just across the road and a beautiful place for a walk. The Mixc department store was also just a short walk away, with all of its restaurants and shops. We spent one evening at the Liquary bar, enjoying a drink and another beautiful night view. There is a fantastic variety at breakfast. We had forgotten to add breakfast onto our room booking so had to pay for it separately, but it turned out to be only ¥88 per person, very reasonable. We also enjoyed the "all you can eat" dim sum at Tang Court on both Saturdays that we were there; even during the low season the Tang Court excelled, and all the dishes were incredible. The Langham has absolutely become our go-to when we visit in the summer.
If I was going to be very picky: I wish there was another hook on the wall in the bathroom to hang a bath towel. There was also a bit of confusion re opening times - one sign at the pool still said "open 7am-11pm" but another said "open 10am-10pm" which turned out to be correct. This only affected us on one of the days when we had no other plans and decided to visit the pool in the morning (we arrived around quarter to 10 and they let us in anyway). Also the Liquary bar closes relatively early, at 9pm (not 11pm as we were first told on checking in).
Excellent location, right next to a huge mall. You can shop and dine and find everything there by walking across. The design of the hotel is classy and luxury which is my liking. The lunch food at Chinese restaurant is excellent. I grew up in HK and was spoilt by good dim sum taste. I would say this HK sifu has very high standard of skill. Although price is pricey, it is worth the money. And there is almost no children around, very good for couple travelling.
Front counter staff made mistakes when checking in giving us wrong smoking room without asking permission. He just put us in smoking room. Good that they changed it immediately.

Location was great, near to malls and a park
After enjoying 5 stars treatment with 5 stars facilities in Sanya, Langham Haikou felt more like a 3 stars hotel. Basic facilities, basic services and very old hotel. Staff seemed unmotivated. Breakfast wasn't good.

位置很好，可以看海，楼下就是公园，旁边就是万达，吃住行都很方便。房间很大，盥洗区域分区合理，互不干涉。房间隔音很好，睡得非常舒服。不愧是老牌酒店
The internet is very slow.
We recently completed a 3-night stay in early March, and the level of service we received was truly impressive. Two days before our arrival, we were contacted by our personal assistant, Chloé, who proactively reached out to arrange our airport transfers. Since we hadn’t made any prior arrangements, she handled everything seamlessly at a very reasonable price.
Chloé’s dedication didn’t stop there; she greeted us personally at both check-in and check-out, and remained in constant contact throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. She truly went the extra mile to make our trip memorable, smooth, and entirely stress-free.
The resort itself is expansive, featuring massive swimming pools and excellent amenities for families. While the beach is pristine and beautiful, the waves can be quite strong, so I’d suggest sticking to the pools for swimming. Thumbs up to the Westin team and a huge thank you to Chloé!
