Would recommend
Pros:

Close to everything, but small and quiet, I think the last place on that strip that is not a high rise, and we could see the mountains right behind. Very comfy room and good advice about the island from management.

Cons:

They removed a couple trees while I was there! Not sure why and I hope they lived, I watched the trees moved onto a truck so I hope that maybe they just got too big for the spot.

Good value for money no doubt. It’s not perfect but where is?
Pros:

Great location, nice clean pool and comfy bed. The staff were lovely, making sure we had everything we needed and are great for arranging trips. The family that run this place are lovely and make you feel at home.

Cons:

The bathroom was in a poor state, in need of a redo. The water would run cold very quickly, the door to our room did not feel secure and needed looking at whilst we were there.

There was an enormous rat running across a beam as we played pool, which was not nice to see.

Pros:

Just the ubication

Cons:

The rooms smelled strongly of damp and mold. The fridge had a large fungus inside and a very bad smell. The bathroom was full of mold and was not clean.
The TV did not work at all and was essentially just decorative. It is surprising for a “hotel” not to provide a functioning TV, as this is a basic amenity.

The complex had rats present on the property.
Breakfast was very poor; the only acceptable items were watermelon and bananas. The coffee was of very low quality, which is disappointing considering Vietnam is known for its good coffee.

Today we witnessed a waitress clearing a table and placing a leftover slice of ham from a previous guest back into the ham cabinet to be served again. This raised serious hygiene concerns.

I do not recommend this place. The quality does not match the price paid.
There is construction directly in front of the property that starts at 6 a.m., causing loud noise and early wake-ups.

Overall, a very disappointing stay.

Shared balcony made me close my blinds so people couldn’t walk by and look in. Pool is not heated and cold.

Pros:

Bungalow and pool were nice, bedrooms were good.

Cons:

Bathrooms very unclean due to the shower being in the open - rust and mold on things, walls unclean, bad smell. Probably depending on which room you stay in but the walls were very thin and could hear full conversations of people next door.

Great location in Cat Ba, highly recommend
Pros:

Location was perfect for us and we loved the pool.The breakfast was good, fried eggs, fruit, toast, coffee/tea. There was also a bar to order coffee, beer, smoothies etc. We enjoyed the free pool table. The staff was super friendly, arranged a boat cruise to Ha Long Bay, Monkey Island etc, 9 hours long including lunch, drinks were extra including water but we were told water was free.

Cons:

Could have used a bedside light. Also, flat screen TV was in room but upon arrival were told none of the TV's throughout hotel were working. Not a big deal but on rainy days would have been nice and they should remobe flat screen tv from booking.com website.

Výborná snídaně - paní pekla palačinky a vejce (volská oka).

Cons:

Pomalu reagují na whatsapp nebo booking zprávách.

Disappointing
Pros:

The staff were very helpful and kind.
The location is handy. The pool is lovely and the hotel's thatched beach-bar vibe looks really appealing. Breakfast was adequate the first day as we were early, but not great the second.

Cons:

Our room was horribly damp and visibly getting rotten, so the staff let us change rooms. The second room was much better but still smelt overwhelmingly damp.
Something affecting visitors' enjoyment of Cat Ba Town, if you stay near what used to be the seafront, is the absolutely enormous and noisy construction site replacing the beach. Obviously the hotels cannot do anything about this but as a tourist you need to be aware!

La piscina è molto bella
Pros:

La piscina, senza ombra di dubbio.
Bella come forma e pulita grazie al grande filtro in funzione. Non sapeva troppo di cloro e aveva una bella temperatura (non è riscaldata).
La struttura poi nel complesso è carina, si distingue molto dai palazzoni adiacenti e nonostante la vicinanza al centro, gode di una posizione quasi nascosta dal resto, con meno rumori rispetto al resto delle strutture.
Comoda anche per raggiungere la fermata del bus per Hanoi (e altre destinazione), che si trova a 300m dall'hotel.
L'ingresso è molto bello e siamo stati accolti cordialmente.

Cons:

La pulizia generale della stanza: non è il posto peggiore dove siamo stati in assoluto, ma sicuramente non alloggerei qui per più di una notte. Nella camera le lenzuola avevano macchie datate (non fresche) e il muro della camera era sporco, forse con muffa, non ho voluto indagare cosa fosse 🤣
Anche i cuscini delle sedie e in generale gli altri oggetti avevano segni di scarsa pulizia.
Il Wi-Fi funzionava a tratti, a volte dava errore di connessione.
La colazione prevede un buffet modesto, e nonostante la temperatura esterna fosse sui 20 gradi, alcuni cibi e bevande erano freddi.
La colazione è stata comunque memorabile, considerato che ho scelto patatine fritte e wurstel.
Il letto matrimoniale sembrava inizialmente comodo o quantomeno decente ma la mattina ci siamo svegliati stanchi e indolenziti.
