Maritimt luksus hotel

Great location, spacious rooms & friendly staff. A few small improvements would make it even better!
Pros:

An excellent location, right on the water! The bus stop directly outside takes you straight into town, or you can enjoy a lovely 30-minute walk along the water on a nice day.

Our room was very clean, quiet and spacious, and we particularly loved having a separate toilet from the bathroom. The coffee machine, tea facilities and complimentary sparkling water were also great touches. The room stayed pleasantly cool despite there being no air conditioning, and the bed was very comfortable.

The hotel also has a lovely lounge area available during the day, as well as a restaurant on site. Having both lift and stair access was particularly useful with heavy bags.

Breakfast was delicious, and all the staff were very friendly, welcoming and spoke excellent English. We would definitely stay here again!

Cons:

1. I would have appreciated having an extra bath towel, as I usually use a second towel when washing and drying my hair. The hairdryer provided was excellent, though.

2. The very high bath, which required stepping in to use the shower, was unexpected and not particularly practical. While the bath itself is lovely, a separate shower would be a better option, especially for older guests or anyone with mobility concerns.

3. It would also have been nice to have still water available, rather than only sparkling water.

4. Our room was serviced during the day, with the bed made and towels replaced, but we found a pair of shoes left in the corner, presumably from a previous guest. This gave the impression that some areas of the room may not have been thoroughly cleaned between stays.

5. Our key card also stopped working and had to be replaced at reception. Thankfully, this happened while the desk was staffed, as it would have been inconvenient if we had returned late at night.
