Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Elko by IHG

Well I like that the property actually did a continental breakfast rather than a restaurant and didn’t have to pay extra for another person, which we had to at another location. I like the location and the front staff. The beds were comfortable.

The breakfast and water they provided

Very comfortable, clean and quiet.

The room was clean and reasonably quiet. Check-in staff were friendly. The breakfast had good variety and was nourishing. The best part was the pride and care Nevaeh took in providing the best possible breakfast experience. Despite getting up at a time when everyone is asleep, she was cheerful and kind, eager to help, and on top of keeping the tables clean and tidy.

Convenience as a stop on a road trip, especially to have breakfast included.

The hotel is fairly new so it’s bright and airy. Room sizes are decent, staff were friendly and helpful.
What I look for in a hotel is: can I get a good night’s sleep? Can I get ADA accommodations? Does the breakfast have healthy options?
The mattress was comfortable, good sleep achieved. Bed too high for an average height woman of 5’ 4” to easily get into. I had to put 3” of my bottom on the mattress, roll onto the bed, then scoot over into the middle. The integrated duvet combo too warm. Wall a/c freezes you whether you’re in bed or sitting in the room. We turned it off so we could sleep. I pack a light blanket in case the duvet is too warm, which I needed to use.
ADA accommodations not available this time. Although we had the only car in the parking lot with a disability placard! Are non disabled people booking these rooms? The staff was able to find a portable shower chair for me, but it was an elongated wheelchair transfer chair that really doesn’t work for a half fixed-glass rectangular shower. If you put it in sideways it takes 2/3 of the shower space and you can’t reach the soap or shampoo. The best work-around is universal design so it works for everyone. 10 days ago we successfully booked one: excellent accommodations.
Breakfast: they do try. Good egg choices. Raisin Bran. Fruit. But in general the carbs were ultra processed and sugary. One coffee machine malfunctioning. Hot sauce available. They had hot chicken fajitas available at 5:30 the evening we checked in, which were decent.

Great location. Clean hotel. Good breakfast. Feels safe. Plenty of parking. Easy freeway access.

When we arrived at the Elko Nevada Holiday Inn Express and Suites, we were greeted and welcomed with a big smile from Jocelyn. Her enthusiasm and professionalism is something I hope to see at all the IHGs I visit, And I visit a lot of them

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was nice and the breakfast options looked tasty!

I had an outstanding stay at the Holiday Inn Elko, NV. The staff was the most hospitable I’ve encountered, with special recognition to Meg, who truly went above and beyond to make the stay exceptional.

As an IHG Diamond member who has stayed at IHG properties all over, I can confidently say this was the most courteous and welcoming staff I’ve experienced. The hotel was extremely clean, well maintained, and provided an overall excellent guest experience from check-in to check-out.

I also used the meeting room for a training session, and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. Even though the visit was work-related, the staff made the experience feel personal, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming.

Highly recommend this location — they truly set the standard for customer service.

The customer service was terrific. Best service in Elko, I’ve stayed at almost all the hotels and this was the best. The pool is perfect for kids!
