Very enjoyable!
Pros:

Rooms and beds very comfortable. Lovely atmosphere and food.
The staff were excellent, in particular Andrew and Jackie when we lost our car keys.

Comfortable and pleasant.
Pros:

Great welcome on arrival. Interesting old pub. The room was warm and comfortable. Dinner and especially breakfast very good. Service very attentive.

Cons:

Presumably the terrible weather and it being mid week were the reasons why the bar area was deserted after dinner - we were the only ones there, which made it an odd experience. The bar staff were more then helpful though.

Nice, comfortable base for hiking in the lakes
Pros:

Lovely pub set in the rural market town. Comfortable, and easy to find. Able to have a good quiet night’s sleep

Great place to stay
Pros:

Made to feel very welcome, food tasty and good quality.
Provided an extra free standing Heater in the bedroom, which was needed ,as temperature -5 while we were there.
Lovely smelling toiletries, and comfy bed.
Even provided small iron and ironing board in your room, if needed.

Pros:

The food was nice and the pub was nice and cosy with a real fire

Cons:

We were refused a drink at 9:15 pm after us having dinner and had arranged for my daughter to come pick her grandson up from us only to be told she couldn't have a drink and neither could me or my husband

Overall very good and would stay again no problem
Pros:

It was quaint and a nice location. Staff were very friendly and even called me to tell me the time the kitchen closed as the weather was bad and I was delayed. Breakfast was lovely.

Cons:

The bed was a bit uncomfortable as it was a single trundle bed so not loads of support.
