Although I was asked to check in in advance online, which seemed pointless as I had to provide the information again. The receptionist wasn’t knowledgable about local transport links nor seemed interested in helping. The reception area also had a damp smell. Then the room seemed clean but the wash room certainly wasn’t and again a very bad smell. Lots of stairs to get to the room and back, limited cable probably the most limited I’ve ever experienced in the Philippines. Needless to say this will be the last red doors hotel I ever stay in. Unwelcoming and certainly not very clean.
AVOID THIS HOTEL! Very old hotel. No elevator. After checking into the hotel I wanted to sleep. I was about to crawl into the bed when I noticed hair and yellowish crusty stains on the sheets. Called house keeping to replace the sheets with new ones. When the housekeeping arrived, he began to remove the sheets, I noticed blood stains on the mattress. I ask housekeeping to flip the mattress over when he did I noticed the urine stains on the other side so I told him I’ll just stick with the bloody side of the mattress. He was kind enough to double the bottom sheet. Immediately went down to the front desk and ask if they had another room explaining I didn’t want to sleep on a mattress with blood or urine stains. Lady at the front desk was kind enough to inform me that they were fully booked for the evening so I would have to stick with that room(33). The toilet didn’t work properly either when I flush the toilet I had to actually open the toilet tank cover to flush it. The AC would turn off after being on for 10-15 minutes and needed to be unplugged before the remote could work and turn it back on. Luckily there was a fan in the room.Rules of the hotel was only one guest allowed and would be charged for additional guests. I had about 5 guests that night in the form of cockroaches. They never left the room but I was not charged for these uninvited guests either. I have no idea how this hotel has a License to operate.please avoid! I recommend Sunset Garden Inn. Cheaper/cleaner
My room was on the 4th floor but there is no elevator.
Room on fourth floor, no elevator. Door did not appear to secure properly. No safe to secure valuables. Tv not working, was told they called maientence. Wanted in lobby over two hours. Requested refund. Was told had to get refund from Expedia. Did not stay.
