A beautiful hotel near Barahona
Pros:

The hotel is beautifully designed, around a very large swimming pool. Both the common areas and the room were clean. My room was in fact a small apartment: a living - dinning room with a kitchenette, a bedroom and a large bathroom, all pleasantly furnished and well lit. I had twice breackfast and dinner, and the food was tasty. There is a small library with books in many languages. Last but not least, staff is outstanding, especially the lady at the reception.

Cons:

Location is very isolated, so you need your own means of transportation. Some pieces of furniture look rather tired.

Este hotel nos ofreción una muy mala experiencia. El dia en que llegamos había 2 cumpleaños en la piscina de externos, con la musica a todo volumen, con la piscina completamente llena y sin tumbonas. El ruido era terrible.
Está muy mal que se priorice a los externos antes que a los clientes del hotel que pagan una habitación.
Nos intentamos ir a la playa del hotel para escapar del ruido y terrible, totalmente descuidada, llena de basura y sucia.
Al hacer el check-out pagamos lo que nos dijeron que habiamos consumido en el restaurante, al dia siguiente me mandaron un mensaje diciendo que eramos unos morosos que nos habiamos ido sin pagar, solo por el echo de que ellos se equivocaron al cobrarnos. Terrible experiencia

Pros:

Arrived to find no real parking. When we checked in were told the credit card machine was not working and we needed to pay cash----i said no fix your machine and well pay when its fixed--she ran the card and it went through with an approval code. Room was ok- no ac or fan in bedroom-walls need new paint- had hot water one of 3 days. Fridge is in a closet you can not open door without lifting fridge and moving its so tight. Hot tub had no hot water or way to become hot. Coffee was a thick burnt black oily substance-food was ok at best but rest of barahona food no better except playa azul rest was decent. Went to checkout and told needed to pay- i showed receipt with approval code and told "yes but that was another girl that ran your card, not me" What? I said I have my reciept and it shows paid and we left.

Good value for money.
Pros:

Comfortable bed, spacious rooms, beautiful sunrise view. The pool is pleasant, it is beach front but the beach isnt great.

Cons:

A bit outdated kitchen facilities, vicious mosquitoes in the restaurant.
