Clean and relatively new hotel, worth the money.
We planned the trip online first & decided on this location based on the name as well as points we had available. We had requested early check in which emails had indicated would be no concern. We arrived an hour early to discover we could not check in early. We were arriving for a funeral & my husband has alzheimer's & dimentia. Not being able to check in early upset him more than he was already having lost his very young nephew to suicide. The girl at the desk asked us to wait in the lobby while the room was cleaned. Within a few minutes we were told the room was ready. We went to the room. It was clear right away this room had not been used in some time. It smelled musty. We attempted to adjust the air in the room since it was extremely cold. The air did not seem to adjust at all. Later when the air did adjust down when it turned off the room smelled musty immediately. It then became necessary to keep the air on all the time to keep the smell out of the room. This forced us to wear sweatshirts to bed to keep from freezing. Mind you it was 93 degrees with feels like temps in the 100 degree range in College Station, TX during our visit. When we checked in there were no towels in our room. We caught the house keeping person in the hall & she gave us more towels. We also discovered there was no tv remote. The house keeper asked us to let the front desk know. I mentioned my husband's condition earlier. One of the only ways to calm him down is to let him watch tv. This was impossible without a remote. I went downstairs to explain this to the same lady that checked us into our room. She said please go back to your room & I will send some one right up with a remote. An hour later we still had no remote. By this time my husband was very upset which in turn was upsetting me. I returned downstairs to ask where was the remote. The same lady said, you mean no one brought you a remote? I said why would I return if we had a remote? She looks at another girl also working the counter as if to say what do I do. She attempts to call a manager. I said what about another room my husband is very upset & this is not working. She says we have no more available rooms in your price range. The other girl behind the counter tells her do you know where the remotes are stored? I can show you? The first girl then huffs & walks away. She returns a couple minutes later with a remote. While the first girl was gone the 2nd girl asked me if I would prefer to switch rooms anyway. I appreciated her efforts but told her as long as someone found a remote we would stay in the room. The first girl finally found a remote & I returned to the room. Later we found out there was mildew in the shower from there not being an exhaust fan in the shower area. The wallpaper was peeling away from the wall probably from moisture in the room. The entire room needed a facelift. The entire hotel for that matter needed a facelift. There were stains on the carpet in the hallway & everything felt tired. The elevator was as hot as the temperature outside & lurched every time it stopped. The breakfast was nice & hot if not extravagant. The bar area was clean and serviceable. I expected more from the name Hilton. When family members asked where we stayed and we said in a Hilton they all said the same thing. Oh, bet you slept well. Unfortunately, we had to say not so much. We even used points to have an unsatisfactory stay. You live & learn. We have learned never to stay at this particular Hilton ever again.
A very nice & clean hotel; would recommend to all. Hotel staff was very helpful & accommodating to all our needs. We were able to use the conference room all weekend since we had so many families checked in & thay was very helpful to gather.
I have stayed at tons of Hyatt's over the years. I have come to expect a level of cleanliness and common courtesy, both of which you won't get at this hotel. Upon check in we were put in a room with broken AC. We moved rooms. The new room was dirty, shower drain didn't work and overflowed, outlets in bathroom didn't work so had to dry your hair in the kitchen. The pool was "use at own risk" because of the rain and the chemicals they dumped in. The hallways smell of mildew. All of this is manageable but what I found most upsetting is the lack of help/respect at the hotel. I talked to the manager on the phone on Thursday and he said he would call me back in 3 hours. I have since called three times and almost a week has gone by and no response. We ended up leaving our reservation early and am still waiting for World of Hyatt and the Hyatt House Bryan Texas manager to return my calls. Save yourself some stress and stay somewhere else.
Great hotel. Very clean; great breakfast. Friendly staff and inviting and clean lobby. Great location too - close to restaurants and within walking distance of Target if you need anything for your stay.
Excellent Breakfast
Slow Elevator
The front desk team member was very nice. It went downhill from there. Cracks in the wall and plaster coming off. Needed to be painted really badly. Screen on the window looked as if it were stained . Looked as if the room had experienced water damage. Toilet paper holder was broken and the bathroom door would not shut completely as it got stuck on the floor. Whoever is in charge of maintenance is doing a horrible job! Come on Hyatt House you can do better

Not what I have come to expect from this brand. Breakfast was ok but very basic hot breakfast (eggs, meat, potatoes) with fruit and bread options. Eggs where actually pretty decent for hotel.
Room was nice set up. Very noisy A/C you heard water draining all night. Bed good but pillows are lacking. The "black out" shades don't help when there is a large gap on both sides letting in light.
Now the rest of hotel. 3rd floor smelled awful! It was a musty moldy smell like a locker room! Trash was over flowing in laundry area and next to elevator. Elevator trash was cleaned up but it was left from Friday-Sunday morning and yes, they were on that level cleaning Saturday.
Over all would not stay at that location again.
Everything was great
Pull out bed was more uncomfortable and thin than most.
