Comfy and spacious room, with a table and chairs and a separate hallway with a little workstation area. Very helpful and friendly owners. The breakfast was everything you'd expect from a hotel breakfast..

Note that the hotel doesn't offer evening meals. Talgarth doesn't have a lot of places to eat out, especially on weekdays, but if you get a takeaway the hotel owners are happy to let you eat it in the breakfast room.

A comfortable stay in an old-fashioned (in the best sense) small hotel.
Pros:

A spacious hotel with a large, comfortable room. Breakfast was a simple hand-cooked full English breakfast, with a cold/continental side table.

Pleasant, quiet location perfectly positioned to explore the local countryside and amenities

Location quiet with plenty of parking- owner/staff attentive without being intrusive - owner helpful and friendly and full Welsh breakfast excellent- all in all a pleasant stay and good value for money

Cons:

Nothing to dislike - a quiet location in a small mid wales town surrounded by beautiful welsh mountains, rolling hills and countryside
