The location is good, near the downtown area of coyocan and in easy access to a myriad of shops and restaurants.
Do not book your stay here. The customer service was nonexistent. When we arrived during the designated check-in time, we called and texted the Whatsapp number multiple times to no avail. There was no one to open the gate, and we were left standing outside until another guest eventually came by and let us in because they had checked-in the day before and had a key. There was no concierge once inside, and we still could not get in contact with anyone. It was not until another guest came in, trying to also check-in, that after 30 minutes they were finally able to reach the owner who said they would "send someone by." Someone did eventually come by and let us into our room. Unfortunately, the bathroom in our room was filthy. There was a dead moth about 5 inches long on the bathroom sink, so dried out that it had to have been there for weeks. The jacuzzi, a posted amenity of the room, was covered in dirt, with a sign that said that we weren't allowed to use it to conserve energy. The toilet seat was broken. The shower had spider webs and spiders crawling up it. We went down to the kid that let us in and he was unconcerned, telling us we could either get a new room or have it cleaned in the morning. With the state of the rest of the building and a 3 AM wake-up time to go to an excursion, we decided to spend the night and have them clean it the next day since it was already almost midnight. We left early in the morning and came back around 3PM and the room had not been touched. There again was no concierge or the kid from the night before to try and switch rooms or check-out with. We messaged the owner stating we were leaving and needed a refund. They did not reply until days later and said that a refund could only be processed through Booking.com. I called Booking.com, who said the hotel had to confirm the refund before they could process of the refund. The owner/hotel never responded to booking and we have not received a refund. Do not stay here.
The rooms were clean and location was great but, we did not get one of the rooms that was reserved.
-Room reserved was not provided.
Initially, they wanted to give us one room instead of the two reserved.
-No hot water one of the nights due to a close valved.
-Poor communication with host, and never answered my phone calls.
-According to the host one of the rooms reserved was not available due to pluming issues but, one of the nights the “room” was occupied and they were using the hottub that was “broken”… 🤬 and. Never saw a refund on the room denied vs the room given.
-an awful smell of sewer in our room all three nights, luckily we were only there to shower and sleep. Would not recommend this stay at all.
The staff was great location. Great. The Hotel was very rich in history
It was cold at night and the heaters provided were insufficient
It was cold because the walls were made of stone. They’re very thick and it takes a long time to heat up the room. This is natural.
But in the summer, it would be great cause it would be cool
La ubicación
La limpieza, estaba sucio
Beautiful building
No staff there, more like and air bb bedroom
Location and quiet
Room felt very humid (cold or hot)
