Great location for a fun weekend, walking distance to union station, aquarium, and Legoland.
Can’t ride the elevators to any floor but your own so if your family is on another floor get a key from them.
I LOVED the westin because the rooms were extremly clean, the outdoor pool was warm in 30 degree weather, and evreything! It was a great experience for my family!
Very friendly staff, great location and comfortable rooms.
Softer pillows
Location and unique layout
Can’t really complain. Just seemed like cost was there.
Clean and beds comfortable
Paid extra for lounge access and was closed the entire time
I'm not even sure what they're doing is legal. Missouri just says that tenants must have access to heating to make the rooms a "habitable temperature." I'd argue they fail to do this and are thus operating illegally.
Completely ill-equipped to handle any sort of cold weather. During the night it got down to as low as 62° and during the day it never exceed 65°.
AVOID AVOID AVOID!
We talked to front desk but they basically just said, "it's cold outside. Sorry." They said they would send up extras blankets, but never did.
We had kids, 2 and 6 years old, with us and they were so cold overnight.
Overall just a horrible experience. Cannot recommend at all, especially if you have kids.
We love the location and how we can have the hotel park our car and everything was so close to walk too.
The pool was always crowded with kids
This seems like an old Embassy Suites by the structure. We had a one night stay for holiday ballet. Upon arrival the valet gave us uncertain, confusion. When giving your car over to someone who seems unsure of the process was a bad start not to mention the glassy red eyes. The front desk gal seemed overworked and not in the happy holiday spirit, no smile no greeting. I received an email one day prior to our stay that the concierge could help us with limo car service etc but when I asked the happy desk clerk where the concierge was she rolled her eyes and said they didn't have one. They also advertised room service which they had NONE. The rooms were old but somewhat clean. Thin walls, you could feel the springs in the old bed but the linens were nice. The food at the restaurant was terrible. The pita bread that came with the dip were floppy, soggy wet. 50 dollars down the drain for food. Drinks were good. Service was good at the restaurant. I would never stay here again unless the price was 200 or less.
When I emailed them through the booking.com site they said they would be glad to upgrade me to the side debt looks out over the Mayer’s Christmas tree. Then when I got there, they wanted $75 a night more to do it. I paid it because it was a romantic getaway with my wife, but They just weren’t upfront about it.
$250 a night but yet $40 each night to Park, another $20 each day that you use the wet area. The extra fees are crazy.
It was in the middle of the Hallmark Experience which made it incredibly comfortable and easy!
I found a hair on the tub but it was otherwise perfect!
Breakfast was not included in with my room stay
My floor 6th had marijuana smell , so I was sick to my stomach and a migraine for 3 days
Could have compensated a room night or two for the inconvenience , I had to find breakfast on my own many days , 6th floor room I had an awful view , last year I had one overlooking the square and Christmas lights
The location and access to the Hallmark Christmas Experience was the only advantage of staying at The Westin Kansas City.
The bathroom was not clean and had stains on the bathroom wall. The TV remote was cracked and still functioning. The room key cards had to be rekeyed two times to access the elevator to our room. The notified staff were friendly and did not seem to be concerned by my comments.
