I was at this hotel with a group for the Super Bowl. So as you can imagine, it was incredibly busy with tons of people moving throughout the property all the time. However, even with all the hustle and bustle, Jeff Aquino made it a point of learning my name, offering great service and referring to me by name every time he saw me. This kind of service is incredibly valuable when you can very easily be lost in the crown, and I appreciate Jeff for helping to make this a special stay.
10 out of 10
everything was perfect.
Amazing stay at the Westin. Great location, immaculate room and most notably amazing staff. Please swing by the concierge desk where Jeff is wonderful and happy to help you. :)
Clean, central super friendly front desk.
We were in a room next to a dog that was barking constantly and what sounded like a parrot?
Perfect location, especially during the holidays. Union Square is just across the street, with so many great places to eat. The bed and sheets were very fresh and clean.
I really don't like how close the new restaurant and bar are to the doorway. The hotel lobby used to be so enchanting, especially during the holidays. Now it looks like it has a new audience, not for families but for people who like to drink. Also, my room was next to the elevator, so it was very noisy all day & night long. Good thing I brought an earplug.
The bed was comfy.
The windows were dirty. We asked for a city view and did not get it, even though we paid for it. On checking in, there was a 20-25 minute wait at front desk, and only 2 employees on duty. When it was my turn, the clerk took a family of 8 that had come in from Union Square side rather than garage side where 'line' forms, where there's a stand saying wait here, or something to that effect. Then, she insisted I needed to pay $35 fee for tax usage which included $20 towards a meal, x amount of dollars towards a tour, etc. I thought it was bogus but after driving 6 hours, having an appointment in the City, then coming to the St. Francis, standing in line for all that time was horrible, and I didn't have the energy to fight it. Not the St. Francis I remember.
Bed very comfortable. In the new towers lived the view.
If I parked at the hotel for one night the cost for my SUV was going to be $106.00. J paid $46 at the parking garage down the street.
Go see Jeff Aquino at the concierge desk. He will treat you like family and help you with any of your needs. A great rep for the Westin St. Francis.
We stayed at The Westin St. Francis San Francisco for six weeks while our home was being repaired because of water damage. This hotel was a wonderful place to stay during a difficult time for us. From the beginning, the hotel staff made us feel welcome and cared for.
The hotel staff we encountered were friendly, accommodating, and professional, which made a long stay feel comfortable and pleasant. We were there during the Christmas holiday season, and the hotel was beautifully decorated and festive.
The Concierge team including Anthony, David, Glenn, and Jeff, were outstanding. They were always helpful, knowledgeable, and eager to assist with recommendations and questions.
At the front desk, Azucena stood out for her friendly and pleasant presence. And Front Desk Manager Andrew helped us move into a larger Junior Suite with a better view of Union Square, which made for a better living experience during an extended stay. We are also grateful to Jonathan Voss, Director of Front Office, for allowing us to remain in the same room when we needed to extend our stay by an additional day, which was very convenient.
The Bonvoy Lounge was a daily highlight for us. Nicole, Maria, Jenny, Uyen, Yao, Christian, and Peter took great care of us every morning at breakfast and in the evenings for snacks. They were always warm, friendly, and attentive, and made the lounge a welcoming place.
Overall, The Westin St. Francis was a wonderful place to stay, with friendly and professional staff. The kindness and professionalism of the staff made a challenging situation the best it could be. We highly recommend this hotel, especially for extended stays.
This was our first trip back to SF since COVID. This used to be our favorite city to visit. We used to visit 2 to 3 times a year.
Our favorite hotel was the St Francis. We decided to stay here again and was not disappointed.
Service still exceptional. Love the renovation to the lobby with the new bar.
I'd like to thank Luis at the front desk and Jeff Aquino at the concierge desk for their exceptional service and for being so friendly and welcoming.
Will definitely be back.
Aloha,
Glen Moribe
The staff at the hotel are excellent. Special shout out to Jeff Aquino who always had a smile on his face and super friendly each morning at the concierge desk. He treated me like I was special.
