Pros:

I am writing to formally recognize an outstanding member of your team, Jane Rollins, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Birmingham Perimeter Park.

My daughter and I have stayed at this location twice monthly over the past year and a half when we are in town for church services at Rock City Church. While one or two staff lack the service gene ( Sara or Susan) Jane has consistently provided the most exceptional customer service. Quite simply, she is the crème de la crème. She remembers us by name.

I manage a high rise condominium in Atlanta where I have my own front desk team so I appreciate and reward great service when received!

From the moment we arrive, Jane greets us warmly by name, ensures our check-in is seamless, and goes above and beyond to make our stays feel personal and welcoming. On more than one occasion, she has proactively confirmed our room preferences and handled last-minute adjustments with grace and efficiency. Her attention to detail and genuine care never go unnoticed.

In hospitality, consistency is everything — and Jane delivers excellence every single visit. Because of her professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness, your hotel feels like a home away from home for us.

Room from hell
Pros:

Room was dirty. Bodily fluid was on the furniture. The ceiling was leaking and there was mold. I called to complain and was given the run around.

Cons:

Location was great. Room was horrible. Hilton customer service (corporate) terrible.

The area was clean and neat .

Cons:

The TV and Wi Fi were not working. The line was too long to check in and the clerk was rude about who came in first vs who was waiting to be served.

Nice but won’t be staying again

It’s clean and the beds are comfortable..

Cons:

Having to pay for uncovered and unsecured parking. This money grab will keep me from staying in the future despite this being my go-to spot when visiting the area.

Stressful, unpredictable
Cons:

When the coworkers arrived, one room was cancelled. They blamed Booking.com, but it was on the hotel's side. The fix was to pair two coworkers in a king bed. Our boss' room didn't have AC working and they moved at 10pm. A maintenance worker gave them the master keys and said to try a specific room. This is very unprofessional and terrible security.

Not worth it. Disapointment for a DoubleTree standard.
Pros:

Quite clean. Gym is decent. Rooms are spacious.

Cons:

Paid parking, no kettle in rooms, mattress too soft, half the staff is unhelpful, breakfast is limited and not great, phone in the room not working, room cleaning sometimes half done only.
