There’s nothing like The Plaza in December. It’s very festive and beautifully decorated. We went for Afternoon Tea, something my daughter always wanted to do. It was delightful. The food was excellent and the wait staff even better. Great experience.

We had a sparkling, magical afternoon at the Plaza’s high tea on Dec. 29. This was a bucket-list item for us and more than exceeded expectations! Our server, Fariz Tello, went above and beyond to ensure that our visit was delightful and tailored specifically to us. What a perfect way for friends of 45+ years to celebrate the Christmas season!

First time doing Tea at The Palm Court and we had an amazing experience. Fariz was a fabulous waiter that we would request if we are ever lucky enough to come back for Tea again.

Fariz was incredible. So attentive and sweet. He made our tea feel so special. The atrium is so beautiful and feels like another world. A plus was that the vegan tea was so yummy! Very unexpected.

This was our first visit, and it was outstanding! The staff was extremely accommodating, getting us a reservation right away (we stayed at the Plaza) for afternoon tea. The experience itself was extremely elegant — our server Kabir had great stories about the guests he’d served over his 30 years there. He took extra steps to ensure we had an unforgettable experience, and made our son feel very special. I’d highly recommend checking it out, this is a great experience!

We stayed at the Plaza for 4 nights Dec 23rd-27th with our 2 children. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. As soon as the staff opened our car door to welcome us we knew it would be everything we expected. We got to our suite which had a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Shortly after our arrival staff delivered lots of goodies including, champagne and some delicious sweet treats. They also brought 2 teddy bears for our sons which they were delighted to have.
On Christmas Eve staff came to our suite to hang Christmas stockings along our fire place which was very special. We also experienced story time with Santa and this was so magical.
On Christmas Day we had lunch in the champagne bar. We wanted something nice but casual and this was perfect. The staff were extremely friendly and always welcoming.
The housekeeping staff is also fantastic. Our room was cleaned every day and turned down in the evening.
I also celebrated a birthday while I was there and my husband co ordinated with staff to have the suite decorated and a beautiful birthday cake arranged.
One of the things I liked most about our stay was how special the hotel feels. It has such a homely feel and areas of the hotel are reserved for hotel guests only. This makes you feel special and not enduring the chaos of other hotels in New York which are open to the public. The Plaza is everything and more of what we expected at Christmas

We did Tea At The Plaza to celebrate 16th birthdays right before Christmas. We had six girls and six moms, and our entire experience was fabulous! Our waiter, Shalim, went above and beyond to make this an unforgettable experience for us. Highly recommend doing this at the Plaza!

Excellent service . Great food, ambience, and attention to detail. We came here as a family and enjoyed a wonderful experience. Would definitely come back again. We felt well accommodated throughout our experience, and the food was excellent.

The hotel and staff were impeccable but the one employee that stood out the most that went above and beyond just the standard was the bellman, Waheed Gill. He is so professional and kind and made sure that we were taken care of everyday.

Enjoyed the signature Holiday Tea service. The atmosphere and food were both lovely and festive. The service was truly outstanding. Porfirio was our server and took excellent care of us and went above and beyond.

Beautiful hotel. Everything is lovely, well-decorated, and clean. The view is incredible, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast is delicious and healthy. Highly recommended.

We are endlessly grateful for the memories we’ve made here and look forward to many more celebrations in a place that continues to hold such a special place in our hearts. What an experience we had in the Plaza hotel. Myself and my now fiancée had a reservation in the Champagne Bar. The food was gorgeous and the service was 10/10.

I want to say a big thank you to Diana (front office manager) who helped co ordinate my proposal to my fiancée. She was there for every step of the way. She was so helpful throughout the process via email and WhatsApp messages to arrange the perfect moment for us. I couldn’t compliment her more highly.

My daughter and her boyfriend surprised his mother and I with a trip to NYC at Christmas time (12/13). High Tea at the Plaza was the highlight with our waiter Fariz. His service was a 10/10 experience. We felt taken care of the entire time and were welcomed so warmly. He always made sure we had tons of treats and kept taking memorable photos for us that we will cherish forever. It turned out that Fariz was my waiter 6 years ago when I celebrated my 60th birthday with my best friend and he was just as wonderful at that time as well. We will definitely be back from Boston soon!!

Tried to visit the Champagne bar for a holidays drink. “Everything is booked” said the doorman, despite the hotel website stating that there were no reservations being taken.

That’s fine, was about to leave when another doorman starts trying to make unfunny jokes about my accent. Apologies for being British, but a tad insensitive given that it was like minus 9 at the time and you’d just turned away at least 100 dollars.

Plain rude and unprofessional.

Our stay at The Plaza Hotel was outstanding from check-in to check-out. Erika made a remarkable difference by assisting us with a truly excellent upgrade, handled with professionalism, efficiency, and genuine care. Her support elevated the entire experience and reflected the high standards the Plaza is known for.

Breakfast at The Palm Court was equally memorable. Although we were served by Ursula only once, her warmth, attentiveness, and elegant service made a lasting impression and perfectly complemented the iconic setting.

A flawless experience overall, defined by thoughtful service and timeless hospitality. We would gladly return.

Christmas at the Plaza Palm Court is the is the experience little girls dreams are made of. I went with my daughter and two granddaughters. The girls were mesmerized by the experience. The decorations take your breath away. The selection of tea and treats is extraordinary. There is no way to describe the care to details exhibited during every moment of the service and presentation of the food. Perfection is the only way to describe it. The Plaza Lived Up To The Hype. Don’t miss it!

My daughter and I looked forward to the afternoon tea experience for months. Having had the experience at the Cake Bake Shop and knowing the reputation of The Plaza Hotel, we had high expectations. Unfortunately, the food was terrible. The scones crumbled like sand with an odd texture and the bread was stale. The 2/5 rating wasn’t 0 only because the server was amazing. He did his best to make the experience better, but he could not save the terrible food. I felt embarrassed for The Plaza for delivering such subpar and low quality food at such a high price tag. I would never do this again.
