4. City Athletic Club (CAC)

• Periodic Closure: The first Monday of every month for maintenance.

o External food and beverages are not allowed inside the facility.

Morning: 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM

o On weekends, holidays, and during peak seasons, admission to the City Athletic Club is limited to one entry per day for the convenience, hygiene, and safety of our guests.

My wife and I stayed here for a week from late February to early March, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
First of all, the location is excellent—it is within walking distance of the lively Myeongdong area, which offers a wide variety of restaurants and shops. Our room was modern and had a nice view facing the historic Hwangudan Altar.
As Platinum Elite members of Marriott, we had access to the lounge on the top floor, where a great variety of food was offered for breakfast, along with a good selection of light meals during cocktail hours. We were also able to dine at “Aria,” the restaurant on the first floor, although we preferred the lounge overall.
In addition, the gym facilities were of very high quality. There were always staff members present who paid close attention to detail, which made the experience even better. I especially enjoyed using the gym during our stay.
Finally, the service and hospitality were outstanding. The staff were consistently polite and knowledgeable. In fact, I accidentally left my HDMI-to-USB-C adapter and a cable in the room, but they kindly arranged to send them to my home address afterward. I truly appreciate their help.
We will definitely stay at this hotel again the next time we visit Seoul.

We have had a wonderful experience at the Westin Josun. The hotel is very nice and the staff couldn’t be any more accommodating. Starting with checking in with Sam, they did everything possible to enhance our stay. I’m very appreciative to them. The food was also excellent, including a wonderful buffet to start the day. The hotel is also centrally located to many of the sights any tourist wants to visit while in Seoul.

Second time staying at this hotel. Simply greeted with excellent service. Everyone at the lobby is very friendly and helpful particularly Zoey Park, who helped with the room reservation. Rooms are large and spacious as compared to the rest.

Everything about The Westin Josun was amazing! The staff were so helpful and kind. The location was perfect for all the different parts of Seoul we wanted to explore! The hotel was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable! We ordered room service several times and it was delicious and arrived shortly! Would definitely recommend this place to stay while in Seoul.

I agonized for months on picking the BEST hotel and read hundreds of reviews on other places, and I am SO GLAD we ended up at the Westin Josun.
Where to begin...
Of note, we did pay to stay in a swanky suite with access to the club. I don't know what the price difference would have been for a regular room, but since we were there for 9nts, I felt it was necessary. I would say, it was completely worth the expense.
Location - This hotel is exactly where you want to be for a tourist. Does not get better. Close to everything including subway, Namsan Tower, and my personal favorite, the Cheonggyecheon Stream. My favorite part of my trip might be the morning run along the Cheonggyecheon Stream, and it is just minutes from the hotel.
Facilities - It was actually what you expect from a 5 star hotel. Clean, impeccably maintained, luxurious. I was worried the rooms were going to be dated because of previous reviews I read, but that was not the case. The room was lovely.
Service - Standout service and well staffed! Clearly, it is well managed because the employees were beyond helpful, professional and courteous.
Club - The service at the club was again, amazing and it was well maintained. They provided OK options for breakfast (although we also had access to the main breakfast buffet maybe bc we are Platinum Elite?) and light snacks with pretty much a full bar in the evenings. It was never overly crowed and always fully stocked. Although the club is open all day, they only provide coffee, soda, etc. beverages and not yummy prepackaged treats during the day. Despite all the wonderful things I have to say about this hotel, the club options (not service) were meh...
Restaurants - because we were there for so long, we actually ate in all but 1 onsite restaurant. They were all pricey, but what you expect at a 5 star place. The Chinese place was incredible! Pricey, but delicious and so beautiful. The Bar by the lobby was so swanky and had an incredible view of a temple through wall to wall windows. So nice! So be sure to bring a nice outfit so you don't look like a tourist!
