Westin Atlanta Airport – Disappointing Stay

We checked into the Westin Atlanta Airport in late February with high expectations, as the Westin brand has consistently set a strong standard for hospitality. Arrival was relatively smooth despite some clutter in the main lobby, and the check-in process was efficient. The room itself was clean and the beds comfortable — no complaints there.
Where the experience fell apart was the in-room technology. The smart TV remote was borderline unusable: buttons required excessive force to register, and the layout was poorly designed, with the power button placed directly adjacent to an input button that would knock you out of the main menu and your signed-in streaming portals — Netflix, YouTube, and the like. Navigating channels or content became a genuinely frustrating exercise.

When I raised this issue at the front desk, I was met with indifference from both the associate on duty and the manager. Their only solution was an offer to move me to a different room — a suggestion that made little sense given that I was already checking out. I expected more from a brand of this caliber, particularly when it comes to basic in-room functionality and the willingness of staff to offer a meaningful resolution.
The comfortable bed and clean room are not enough to offset the poor technology experience and the lack of attentiveness from the early morning staff. For a hotel operating under the Westin name, this fell well short of the mark.

Amazing people! Rooms, food, and hospitality. After a bad situation of being stranded, everything at this hotel has been top notch.

The hotel is close to the airport and there is transportation provided. My room was a king on the 9th floor. The entire floor was very quiet at all times. The staff maintained the room really well each day. Water was provided at no charge. The meeting rooms were excellent. The buffets were outstanding! Food was excellent both in the morning and lunch. The restaurant on the first floor was disappointing. The staff just didn't seem to care. I asked for a refill on my iced tea several times each evening and never got it. The service was slower than any restaurant anywhere that I have ever visited. The food was adequate but not worth the price. Reception staff were excellent. They were pleasant and quickly provided me with my room and key.

Vinay our server and the whole dining experience was wonderful! I came here before a business trip in November 2025 and brought my wife back for this trip. Loved it! Stayed here the night before we flew out the next morning.

Vinay and staff made this a memorable meal! We had great service and wonderful food! We will be back.

Areena is the absolute best and has made my morning every morning for the 7 weeks i have had to be here! I wouldn’t have gotten thru training without she goes above and beyond for her customers! I appreciate seeing her face each morning!

Areena and Sharon were both beyond amazing. They made my morningcoffee routine the best it has ever been. They were quick to greet with a smile and such warm personalities, always wishing me to have a great day. They both made you feel like you were ever the only customer in the world that they were so happy to see.

After a horrible day of travel and stuck in Atlanta. Once i arrived to the hotel, Larry who served us from the bar was a pleasure. His humor and attention to detail was appreciated.
The room was also clean and comfortable.

I would definitely recommend staying here. I have been here before, and during my latest stay there were issues with the room and the staff,especially Ms. Angela, with security was prompt and kind and handled my issues. Great customer service is always a reason to stay here!

Vinny went beyond helping us. He wiped up some water that was spilled and brought us items that were forgotten. He was so polite. Sufiyan was very polite and waited on many tables at one time. Thank for a wonderful dining experience!! The food was fabulous…pork chop and asparagus was perfect.

Sharon and Kashekasha were amazing! They made our drinks perfectly and cared a lot about how I liked it. Thank you to them for making my stay so much better.
