Incredible location on the river. It’s so peaceful. The staff were the best staff we have encountered at any hotel. They couldn’t do enough for us.
The property is older but it is exceptionally clean and kept in very good condition.

Lovely staff and kids enjoyed the pool after a long walk. Close to a great little artists mall that was like a mini museum.

Great location if you want to be near the river, good service. Overall good value hotel. However rooms and facilities dated and need upgrade

Bed is a bit too soft
On the whole I have very much enjoyed my stay here as an ambassador. I also appreciate the beautiful suite upgrade without using SNA (not that I ever get at Marriotts) but hotel is pro-active re upgrading if space available.
The suites are outstanding with great views of the river and very relaxing. Some of nicest you can find anywhere.
The front desk, concierge and bell staff are amazing and all smiling which isn’t always the case in other hotels.
Luckily I use fitness first at Iconsiam but the gym does need a bit of work and is quite small but has enough dumbbells. Pools always look nice but are not heated and so are quite quiet (again luckily I can use at fitness first).
Housekeeping are outstanding and also flexible with any timings. Always immaculate.
Club lounge has amazing views on the 27th floor - you cannot beat. The breakfast is very good with eggs made to order (recommend eggs Benedict) - no need to use points for main restaurant. The space is very big and a variety of seating. It is a bit odd with no self service drinks (even soft drinks) but in fairness if you go straight to the bar, service is quick and they do make cocktails. Evening food is one of the better ones of Marriotts in Asia and the desert selection is the biggest I have ever seen in my life. Overall it is probably one of best selection of food you will find in a Marriott / Sheraton.
There is a boat every 30 mins across to Iconsiam and takes 3 mins and also goes to BTS.
Location is relaxing and not far from all and whilst I sometimes prefer grand Hyatt location as I like CentralWorld, sometimes it’s nice to be in a quieter accessible area and more relaxing.
The highlights of the hotel in club lounge is Yusron Lateh as he is so engaging with guests and knows who wants to chat and who not and makes it feel like home. Also Phatcha Thakorn is also very good.
There are some changes which should be considered for lounge such as opening after 2200 even if no staff as most Marriotts open later.
I was extremely impressed with the GM who took 45 minutes out of his day on a Saturday to chat to me and tell me about all the exciting renovations coming up at the hotel - this gave me such a positive experience and made me look forward to returning (I don’t know any other GM who would take time out to meet on a Saturday and also be so genuine and fun to chat to£.
I also should mention the excellent boat service to Iconsiam and in particular the guy with baseball cap who has come back when i nearly missed.
Overall i recommend but depends on location you prefer - sometimes it’s nice to be away from crowds in central and just a short journey away.
