Very well located on the riverside. Friendly staff and good size room.
Convenient to local attractions
The hotel smelled amazing. I could smell the aroma before I entered the building. The breakfast buffet exceeded my expectations. All the staff I spoke with for help were exceptional. I would stay here again if I come back to New Orleans.
The view over the river was Awesome

Definitely a great stay from start to finish. We were tracked in and directed to the 11th floor by valet as that is where the check-in is. Check-in was prompt and easy. We had a great view of the river from our room. It wasn’t noisy at all, except for occasional train in the middle of the night. And that it was a nice location and super convenient to a lot of locations for food and things to do. A special shout out to food anddrinks manager Nate who invited us to the speak easy called the vault. Highly recommend and if you’re able to make it in, please find Nate and ask him to get you in for an amazing experience at a speakeasy bar inside the hotel.
The front desk experience was great! The bartenders and view from 11th floor bar is worth a stay for a night. I say only a night because the trains that blare their horns at 6AM every day

We had a great stay at the Westin of New Orleans. The location is perfect for walking around the French Quarter. The team at the hotel was the real standout-Bea and Tee behind the bar make amazing cocktails, always with a smile. The manager Samara goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is wonderful. Jinky, in the dining room was very attentive. Room service by Jay Jay was quick and friendly. Will be back!!
We had an amazing time from check in with Samara, Bea and Tee at the bar. Excellent service and hospitality from Jimmie and Jay Jay every morning for breakfast. Not just with us but also every person or group they interacted with in the room. They were amazing. A great way to start each morning. True gems you are so lucky to have them. We will be back!
We arrived late at the Westin due to a flight delay, the staff despite the late hour were fantastic and the member of staff whose name I forgot (her parent is from Manchester UK) was particularly warm and welcoming just what you want after a long day of flights, taxis and issues ! The room was fabulous, really classy and great facilities ! We were on the 18th floor and the views of the Mississippi breathtaking ! We were given a free breakfast the first day and this was excellent with fantastic choices, and again great staff!
The bar at reception level is a really lovely for lost sight seeing reflections with stunning views of the mighty Mississippi and lovely staff, not forgetting superb cocktails and bar food !
A good experience that was on the slightly expensive side but worth every penny or dime sorry :-)
I had an absolutely stellar experience at The Westin bar following the French Quarter Festival. Rickey (Food & Beverage Manager) and T (the bartender) went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable. The hospitality was top-tier. I witnessed Rickey providing stellar five-star service not just to our table, but to every guest, showing true dedication and passion. T was an incredible bartender. Because of their hard work and welcoming attitude, I will definitely be bringing my next happy hour back to The Westin!"
I was there for a business meeting and although the hotel was almost fully booked Amanda was still able to upgrade me to a river view suite. The breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly,
After 21 years and over 600 nights across the Marriott portfolio, I have a clear sense of what this brand should deliver. This property did not come close. A room handed over three and a half hours (630PM) after the published check-in deadline, a promised upgrade that became a downgrade, no longer offering an Executive lounge, a malodorous room with budget-grade amenities, and a $30 daily resort fee with benefits designed for someone else entirely. At $300 per night, this is not an acceptable stay. The Four Seasons was next door. I should have stayed there.
Location
For the money, my room wasn’t good. There was hair all over the shower walls, sink stopped up and problems opening the door with key card
