The location is perfect

Great location, located in the heart of Tampa’s waterfront. Has all of the touches you expect from Westin. Pool is a good size with lots of comfortable seating. American Grill located on property is a hot spot for locals and tourists.

Great location and service — rooms need updating

The people here were the highlight of my stay — truly fantastic with warm hospitality and excellent customer service. The staff made every interaction easy, friendly, and professional, which I really appreciated.

The hotel’s location is great — very walkable and close to everything, which was a big plus. That said, the rooms are quite outdated. The carpet was heavily stained with very noticeable wear, which made the space feel less clean overall. Housekeeping also didn’t consistently replace toiletries, and a few items were not restocked during my stay.

On arrival, it would have been nice to have assistance with bags, especially for guests with luggage or mobility needs. Based on the current condition of the rooms, I’d consider this a three-star (3★) hotel experience.

I genuinely enjoyed my time here and hope to see some improvements soon — the location and staff deserve a refresh that matches their potential. Wishing the team success as they work toward updates!

Had a bad experience with someone cooking fish in room next door and the smell was horrible. After several hours it was much better, not much staff could do to remove the smell.

Love this hotel! They have a beautiful view of Tampa Bay, the staff is super friendly and great food. There is also a pizza place next door that is very delicious and homemade ice cream.

Check in was smooth and room was clean. No complaints about noise and the location is very convenient for going downtown and grabbing food. Views of the waterway were very nice as well.

We had a wonderful time at Westin Tampa Waterside. The hotel was very pretty and the view of the channel was so nice. We really appreciate how friendly the staff was at this location. Atanas was so helpful.

Check-in was easy and check was electronic. The room was clean. The staff was friendly, especially the bartender. The lobby is tired.

Excellent location. We watched the boat parade from our room. Incredible experience. Juan was our waiter for breakfast. Very friendly and provided outstanding service. Trent at the restaurant/bar provided outstanding service.

Great location but the state of the hotel has drastically declined. Walkable to popular areas, so you do pay a daily fee for the location. The staff is great, but that doesn't compensate for the major renovations needed. I had to request a new room after checking in. There were clumps of hair still in my shower. The sofa chairs in both rooms were filthy. The nightstands in both rooms were dusty, and neither bathroom was cleaned properly, including the toilet seats. After being forced to check in late (4:30 pm instead of 4 ) it was frustrating to arrive at an improperly cleaned room. As a sorry, we were given daily breakfast vouchers (good for 2) and a $15 daily food/beverage credit. The vouchers only applied to the continental buffet, which was mediocre quality at best. It would've been nice to have access to the way better a la carte menu. As for the $15 credit, it doesn't cover 1 cocktail and is pointless for 2 people.

Hotel right on water, adjacent to great dining options - jacksons and americam social, Valet only hotel, Nick and lucad in valet were very helpful

Very impressed, check in was quick, everyone was so nice. The view is fantastic! The area is great! Rooms are clean! Highly recommend.

Great location. Within walking distance to restaurants, bars and the trolly.
Front Desk Staff was very helpful.
Have stayed there a few times and will stay again.
