Westin Tampa Downtown Waterside

The location was outstanding. We were able to walk to restaurants, the river walk and even the Hockey Stadium.
The atmosphere was wonderful, mostly professionals staying at the hotel.

It was a nice hotel with great views. I was traveling on business, so I didn't get to explore much of the hotel. But I was pleased with my stay. I did have a problem with my account connecting to my trip, but the front desk helped me figure it out so thank you to them!

The outstanding front desk started our stay on a high note, and the first class service continued on from there.

Location location location!

The Westin is clean, comfortable, and in a wonderful location. The entire staff was friendly, and Lindsey at Blue Harbour was exceptional!

The Westin Tampa Waterside was an amazing place to stay. The staff was top-notch and the location couldn't be better! I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be back!

Hotel is really outdated and in need of renovation. However, the breakfast was good and our server, Laura was very attentive and really nice. Kudos to her as she went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our breakfast.

Emily at the front desk was amazing. We checked in because of issues with a vacation rental we had booked that was not as expected. Emily was incredibly helpful and understanding and got us a great room for the rest of our week in Tampa.

I recently stayed at the Westin Tampa Waterside for a business conference, joined by my wife for part of the trip. Overall, it was a positive experience, though not without a few caveats.

The hotel's greatest asset is undoubtedly its location. Sitting right on the waterfront, you have easy access to scenic walking paths along the bay, as well as downtown Tampa's dining scene and local attractions — all within easy reach. My wife and I opted to explore the neighborhood for meals rather than dining on-site, and we were never short of excellent options nearby.

The staff were a genuine highlight. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay — they contributed a lot to making the trip enjoyable despite a few shortcomings.

On the conference side, the facilities and catering were well-executed and met the expectations of a professional event. Minor frustrations with the Wi-Fi reliability and AV technology were the only real blemishes on an otherwise smooth experience — something worth addressing for a property that clearly hosts significant business events.

Where the hotel falls short is in its overall condition. Both the common areas and guest rooms feel noticeably dated, and a refresh would go a long way toward matching the premium the Westin brand commands. It doesn't detract from the stay, but it is noticeable.

All in, a solid choice for business travel in Tampa — particularly if you value location and service over modern décor.

Great location. Came for a work event to watching the Tampa Bay Lightning Bolts. Walking distance to several cafes and restaurants. Great views of the water. Great price point.

Location was perfect. Right Above the water. The atmosphere of the place was welcoming and friendly. The staff was very helpful and the boys working at valet were smiling and got my car within good time. The room was clean and spacious, definitely worth every cent. The breakfast was amazing as well, the salmon was a personal favorite.

My stay at this Weston was for two nights for a business trip. It had been my first time staying at this property and I can only shower compliment after compliment on my experience from the front desk staff to the Cleaning staff to the helpful bar staff on the Wi-Fi in the lobby .Rooms are beautifully appointed And clean with incredibly comfortable bedding. Highly recommend to anyone staying in the Tampa area. It is the go to property.
