I was happy with my visit to Modena and my stay in the Phi Hotel Canalgrande.
Pros:

While the hotel is old and a little faded, it has character and charm, which is a reason I chose it. It is an easy walk to the city centre and about a 20-minute walk from the station. I had a quiet room looking out onto a garden. I had breakfast included and the breakfast offerings were good. I did not have much contact with the staff but what I had was good.

Cons:

A minor matter - I had a kettle in my room and coffee, and tea sachets and two milk capsules were supplied. It would be nice to have whatever is used replaced each day.

Soggiorno nella splendida Modena!
Pros:

Ottima la posizione, Staff molto cortese e disponibile. Nota di merito alla signorina della reception.

Cons:

Le camere sono un pò datate come mobilio, fastidiosissimo problema con l'illuminazione della stanza che con frequenza subiva cali di tensione rendendo praticamente impossibile lavorare col notebook.
