Convenient location to Convention Center
Dirty and dated rooms
hotel staff was pleasant- agreed to a (slightly) later checkout time,
We got very basic services at what we believed to be a high cost. for example, very minimal amount of towels in bath, no written material describing hotel services, early (11 am) checkout time, absolutely no wasted space. Everything about the room was about efficient use of space with nothing extra provided.
The room wa cozy
One elevator was down and no sign was on it to indicate. Dozens of People were waiting on 2 Elevators
Room Service was to expensive and we could not eat in the restaurant because of a large convention that was given preference.
Location
It was really hard to get inside for checking, nobody help for carry baggage, coffe shop close really early , not opening Monday morning, we told the receptionist we will do late check out , because we were taking class until 12 , he said ok , but he didn’t put notice , other receptionists were bad talking to us because we were late , pillows are really bad , not coming back this hotel
Convenient location, very comfortable beds and pillows.
Room a bit shabby - closet door off track, hair dryer was missing, some outlets wobbly.
The location of the time of it being new years
Perfect location for the Raleigh Acorn drop celebration (New Years Eve). Nice size king room. The bed was comfortable with large soft pillows, shower (water pressure) was amazing, everything was clean. Security was a plus. You need your room card to use the elevator and to enter your room.
Unfortunately, there was no microwave in the room, the fridge was tiny, and the TV could be bigger. No free breakfast is available.
Everything was lovely, clean, the location and the restaurant on the premises was delicious
One of the security guards verbally attacked my husband. He questioned his existence in the hotel lobby even after my husband showed the guard his room key.
The location was perfect for the parade route.
It was also walking distance to allot of amenities such as bakeries, parking garage.
It would have been nice if they took care of parking cost due to they have no parking for customers.
Location, customer service
Breakfast (wish there were more vegan options)
Coffee cups
Not a good stay overall. Was in the hotel for 2 nights as part of a soccer tournament. The first issue is that despite being in a downtown area, the hotel strangely has no parking. Their suggestion is to use nearby unaffiliated parking garages (thus with no in/out privileges). If you stay on a weekend, I recommend finding street parking nearby which is free.
The rooms are old and not well-maintained. There are mold stains, large pieces of wood chipped off, etc. The pubic elevators have a similar not-kept-up appearance. Cleanliness was below average in terms of the floors. Pillows were very small and thin. Although listed as queen beds, the beds at least seemed to be smaller than expected. There was no outside noise but hallway and nearby room noise transmitted fairly easily. The provided hair dryer only produced warm (not hot) air. The staff were friendly but detached (no "how was your stay?" when checking out).
Overall would recommend looking for an alternative hotel in the area.
The hotel is across the street from the parking garage. It is within walking distance to Meymandi concert hall where we heard the North Carolina Symphony. The hotel restaurant is great and in the morning we had coffee and a sweet roll at the cafe in the lobby. The room also has a mini fridge which is great for wine.
Nothing. It was great.
Location!
No parking
The staff was so friendly and helpful!
