The Marriott Jacksonville offers a comfortable stay on the south side of the city. It’s an older property, but the rooms have been beautifully renovated. I appreciated the clean bathroom and the walk-in shower. Notably, the hotel still has carpeted floors, unlike the renovation at the downtown Marriott property which transitioned to hard surface flooring.
As a Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite member, I had access to the M Club lounge for snacks and beverages. I really appreciate that this hotel still offers a lounge, unlike the downtown Marriott location.
Additionally, parking remains free here, which is a great perk compared to some other full-service hotels in the area that have started charging for their surface lots.
