Found bed bugs in my pillow case and was told it was best to go back to my room and we could talk about it in the mornin

I got to find out I am never staying at this hotel again. The best part of it was checking out

Cons:

Unfortunately we booked this hotel to stay overnight as my dad had recently gotten a leg surgery done. I was at the hospital late and arrived at my room around 1:00 am
I got set up in my room and took a shower when I went to lay down in bed I noticed a bug climbing out of the pillow case. I put it in a cup and realized it was a bed bug. I packed my stuff immediately and went down to the lobby demanding something be done where I was then told by the guy on night shift that it was best to go back to my room and we’d deal with this in the morning, I obviously told him no and ended up getting a different room. He then told me he couldn’t issue a refund due to not being allowed. While checking into my next room he then tells me “I’m so sorry unfortunately this happens all the time” so the front desk clerk admitted openly the hotel has consistent bed bug problems

The staff was very friendly.

Cons:

The breakfast was dry. And it seems that unless you pay $300/night plus, the hotel quality, cleanliness and comfort goes way down.

Pros:

Staff was excellent and helped when needed. The room was clean. The bed comfortable.

Cons:

The coffee maker didn't work. The TV needed wires connected and even though the laundry room and machines are nice, the machines are not user friendly. The coin operation part is lacking in anything saying how it works.

Shocked this is the state of Ramada Hotel. Ramada is a favourite hotel back home.
Pros:

The beds were comfortable.

Cons:

Upon arrival the check in took forever, I already knew as I approached the front desk because I could see someone with the same frustrations and a clip board completing everything we had on check in.

From entry to our room is was a very scuzzy, unclean, smelly, loud start.

Our room was stocked with ONE face cloth, HALF roll of toilet paper, 3 TOWELS and ONE hand towel. After thinking it's fine, we will have room service the next day...I read a note room service is only ever 3 days or by special request,

Our first night was very noisy.
Other guests running up and down halls.

The bathrooms made a sound anytime neighboring rooms took showers.

The TV has no tv and wasn't set up properly.

Everything advertised felt False and for a Ramada we were utterly shocked and disappointed to the point we kept our socks and shoes on everywhere except in bed.

The staff felt inexperienced.

At check in my deposit was supposed to be $100, I had called before we left my city to confirm my card and amount was confirmed before we traveled to Kamloops upon arrival the check in East Indian clerk female attempted to charge $300 and her reasoning was because it wasn't a CC which they already had my CC on file through bookingsm com and our previous conversation.

Even going to the hot tub and with not enough towels for showers the next morning for 3 guests, we hoped the hot tub was equipped with towels.
Our first visit to the hot tub there was only 2 towels available for our family of 3, another gentleman who attended alone and a family of 6 who walked in... The towel cupboard was empty leaving us having to share towels.
The next day we attended and there was not one towel to spare

Just little things add up and comes down to attention to detail and management. I don't believe this is a housekeeping issue either.

I would not recommend this experience to anyone.

The most positive experience was the beds were comfortable and the diner.
