My Room Flooded
Pros:

I booked a 5 night stay for Lollapalooza in Tinley Park months in advanced, but when I arrived and took a shower, the carpet outside of the bathroom was damp. Initially, I assumed the shower curtain was the problem so my partner went to the front desk to grab a second one. Once that was set up, the rest of the people on the room showered and the carpet outside of the door and all the way to the first bed was SOAKED. We requested to move rooms and/or have maintenance come by. The next day, we find out that all maintenance did was dry the carpet, not fix the problem, so when we showered again, the carpet flooded AGAIN. When we asked the property manager if we could move he said (without checking a computer or phone), that EVERYTHING was booked out, but we could forfeit the room and get a refund. We said no because how would that help if everything was full? We asked maintenance to come by again, showed him where the leak was coming from (the wall behind the shower) and was told that he would fix it. He did not fix it. We spent three/five days in a musty, wet, unsafe room (this room was marked as disabled as well). When we were finally able to be moved (a day later despite there being openings at multiple different HamptonInns because we checked), I was charged full price. I contacted Hilton support, and was told that they couldn’t do anything because the property was franchised. She then reached out to the property manager who LIED and said that we were requesting to move to be closer to the event. We didn’t ask initially to move locations at all, just rooms- we asked about a location change after being told there was nothing available. When my partner called the property manager afterwards, he lied AGAIN and told my partner that he “never told the service agent the reason we wanted to move was to be closer to the event.”

Despite submitting a ticket (that was never responded to), an email requesting a PARTIAL refund (that was never responded to), and calling Hilton corporate, no one actually helped.

This hotel is dangerous, unkempt, and poorly managed. I do not recommend staying there, especially not the disabled rooms.

Gross. Desperation kept us from leaving.
Pros:

After checking in online yesterday, stating our arrival time as 3, driving over 4 hours, our room isn't ready 1 hour after check in. Still waiting. At this point i don't know how clean the room will be if they're rushing...but front desk said sorry.

Room is gross. Carpet is wet and sticky. I will not walk without shoes on. Fruitless to ask for another room. They're sold out.

We thought about not staying and making the 4 hour trip back home, but desperation kept us here.

We are 100% Hampton people, but this Hampton made me never want to stay at one again and rethink my life choices.

The view from our room says it all, ripped screen, filthy windows, and even a huge bug. Stay somewhere else.

Filthy and dated
Pros:

As a Diamond member, I have stayed at many properties over the years, and this is by far the most outdated, filthy, and deplorable hotel I have ever experienced.

The only positive aspect of my stay was Kimberly at the front desk. She was exceptional—professional, kind, courteous, and genuinely helpful. She deserves recognition for her outstanding customer service.

Unfortunately, the condition of the property was unacceptable. The hotel appears to have been untouched since the 1990s, if not earlier. It was dark, filthy, dirty, and poorly maintained. The elevator was also filthy and poorly maintained, creating a terrible first impression before I even reached my room.

I was afraid to sit on the furniture because everything appeared unclean. I felt compelled to spray and sanitize every surface in the room out of concern for my health and safety. I even removed the bed linens and replaced them because they appeared dirty, filthy, and unsanitary.

To make matters worse, the toilet in my room became clogged overnight. When I reported the issue, I was met with an unhelpful response. Instead of offering assistance or a solution, I was asked, “What do you want me to do?” That level of customer service was both disappointing and unacceptable.

Considering the amount of money guests pay to stay here, the condition of this property is simply unacceptable. It is filthy and not worth the price charged. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, and I would not choose to stay here again. The property is in desperate need of a complete renovation, deep cleaning, and a much higher standard of maintenance and customer service.

Not up to Hampton Inn standards
Pros:

I was disappointment in this Hampton Inn. Normally Hampton’s are nice but this one was outdated/run down. The room wasn’t anything special. The floor/carpeting felt damp. I refused to walk around without shoes on. The bed was on the harder side. On a positive note, the girls up front were great. Very friendly! Definitely would pass on staying here. Especially for the outrageous price for what you get.

Pros:

The location

Cons:

The staff didn’t know how to check us in using booking, try to over charge my card, had to call manager on the phone for assist twice.
The tap on the card reader wasn’t working.
Following day the front desk staff gave a family the room I was occupying and was walked in on while using the restroom!

A disgusting nightmare!
Pros:

Close to concert venue

Cons:

I booked a King room and ended up being given a double room. Front desk said there was nothing they can do because it was a full house. I booked this 6 months ago, so no excuses in my mind. For $250 per night, I would except to get what I pay for.

Rooms are in need of a total remodel! Carpet was disgusting and bedding was dirty. Keycards didn’t work, we had to get ones twice.

Would not recommend this property to anyone!

Dated, musty, and not worth the price — only good for amphitheater proximity
Pros:

We stayed here for a show at Credit Union Amphitheater, and proximity is genuinely the only reason to book this property. Everything else needs serious investment.

The hotel is significantly dated — old carpeting throughout, narrow hallways that feel more budget motel than Hampton. Our room had a persistent musty smell that never aired out. The mattress was shot, with a major dip in the center that had us both rolling toward the middle all night. The nightstand drawer wouldn't stay shut either; we ended up propping it closed with folded paper. Housekeeping had also left used tissue behind the nightstand. The toilet paper was thinner than tissue paper you'd use for gift wrapping — not an exaggeration.

Breakfast was a low point. The potatoes were bone dry, and the egg dish was so overcooked it came out burnt and rubbery. While we were in line, we overheard staff telling each other to "put some better looking ones on top" — which says a lot about the quality control happening back there.

Brand standards clearly aren't being enforced at this location. If you're heading to a show at the amphitheater, there are better options nearby. We won't be back.
