Overpriced for an underwhelming experience.
Pros:

Connection to pedway. Answered a phone promptly and quick response with noise complaint (dog continuously barking for hours). Room was relatively clean and had air conditioning.

Cons:

Hallway on 2nd floor has a TERRIBLE musty smell. Not sure where the washing facilities are, but we could hear a washer spinning out (noisily) during the evening/night. Hair in the bathroom, grout in shower could have been cleaner and there was some mold in the corner. Booked for 3 people, but set up for 2 (drinking glasses, coffee). Only one extra blanket (thin). Noisy neighbors (loud after midnight). No free WiFi (unless I became a Bonvoy member, maybe??).

Good for both business or leisure
Pros:

This hotel is a good option whether visiting Halifax for business or leisure. It is conveniently located on the Boardwalk and also only a short walk awqy from the downtown area.
The rooms are large with big, comfortable beds and some on the higher floors also have view of the water. Loved that they have a super well equipped, large gym which is open 24/7. Didn’t try the restaurant, only their cafe which has good options for a quick breakfast, both savory and sweet as well as coffees, chai and matcha. Unfortunately it closes already at 2pm. There are cheaper accommodation options in Halifax but considering it all, this Marriott is good value for money.

Pros:

Great location on the Boardwalk and super close to the downtown area as well. Large room and very comfortable bed. Very well equipped gym which is open 24/7. Good breakfast options in the on-site cafe. Good option for both business or leisure stay.

Cons:

The on-site coffee shop closes already at 2pm.
