Last week’s convention at the Sheraton felt dangerously unmanaged. Multiple attendees were physically assaulting others in public areas, yet staff failed to intervene or contact security. The overnight desk employee dismissed concerns entirely, acting as though nothing could be done despite safety risks. Guests should not have to fear being harmed while attending an event or staying at a hotel. The lack of urgency, accountability, and protection created an unsafe and troubling environment overall.
My stay at the Dark Force Convention at the Sheraton was awful. The hotel was chaotic, with drunk guests passed out on the floors and in hallways. The noise lasted all night, and conditions felt unsafe. When I complained, the front desk brushed it off, saying it was “usual for this event.” Completely unprofessional and unacceptable for a hotel of this standard.
My recent stay at the Sheraton Parsippany Hotel in NJ was extremely disappointing. At check-in, the front desk associate (young woman with curly hair, no name tag) rushed through the process and seemed more focused on her phone than assisting guests. I asked about my breakfast voucher and was told I could simply show my paperwork in the morning. That turned out to be incorrect.
The next morning, I was told very rudely that I needed a physical voucher card. The staff member overseeing breakfast was dismissive and unprofessional, making an already frustrating situation worse. The most concerning issue, however, was finding a bed bug in my bed the following day. I immediately reported it to the front desk and was again assisted by the same associate, who said my information would be documented and gave me the manager Kenny’s contact information. Despite multiple calls, I initially received no response. When I finally did reach Kenny, he had no idea who I was or what had happened, which raises serious concerns about communication and guest safety.
Between the poor customer service, misinformation, lack of follow-up, and serious cleanliness concerns, this stay fell far below expectations. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.
Очень чисто

Large comfy rooms in a well kept hotel.
My stay at the hotel was terrible. Loud noise from nearby rooms and hallways went on late into the night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. I contacted the front desk multiple times, but nothing was done to address the problem. The lack of response and concern made the experience frustrating and completely ruined what should have been a relaxing stay.
I was visiting family in N.J. and needed a place to stay for 4 nights in the winter. I arrived at night, so I did not get the full breath of of the hotel until the following morning: a massive medieval fortress from the outside (see photos)! The management could have done so much with this theme, but there is actually no theme whatsoever inside, no pictures of knights in shiny armor, or dungeons, or a moat in the back of the hotel. To make matters worse, the carpet and hallways are dark, drab, and a bit rundown. When I asked the reception lady about the history of the hotel, she did not know. Having traveled, this facility seemed to me like a missed marketing opportunity.
My room was a reasonable size and it was fairly clean. Breakfast had a large selection of hot and cold items, including fresh fruit. Parking is free. There was no safe in the room for my valuables. The Marriott lounge for platinum and above people, a group of which I am a member, was not available during my stay. The staff were fairly helpful, though there were a couple of small hiccups.
Staff were nice and accommodating
The aircon unit was super loud. Changed rooms and it was a bit better. Breakfast was comped due to the inconvenience but it was hard to sleep properly with the noise.
Had to ask for a blanket as there were just thin sheets on the bed.
Very noisy at night and nothing was done to control the noise. DO NOT ADVISE STAYING HERE
