Clean and comfortable
Problems with the elevator, no hot water one am and a rude and condescending concierge employee
This review is specific to the valet team. They were so kind, engaging, and accommodating while we checked our bags with them for the day. Great service with a smile!
Thank you to Matthew and Edgar for being so great in the lounge, and thank thank you to all the lounge staff for their amazing service. Also thanks to Jerry for the great room!
Stayed at the Sheraton with family for a visit to See Universal Studios. Hotel was a great location, very clean and super friendly staff! Beds comfortable and breakfast and Starbucks in lobby was perfect. Met the General Manager, Tom Beedon, in the lobby and he was very welcoming. Special thanks to the Valet parking manager and all shuttle drivers to and from Universal park.
We will definitely return !
The shuttle’s to universal studios and the rooms had a great view.
Nothing.
Excellent value, location, history.
Can’t think of anything.

Valet staff was the best. Steph, David V and Daniel were cheerful, helpful and friendly. The provided excellent customer service during our stay.
Loved that the hotel was dog friendly, but there wasn’t a dedicated grass or space for dogs to potty.
Convenient location and less than 10 minute walk to Universal Studios. Will definitely return!
Clean
I didn’t like being on the second floor. It was a bit confusing on how we access the second floor
nothing. During four decades of business travel I have never had such an awful hotel experience.
I arrived on a transatlantic flight. Woke the next morning, the hot water bath and shower were 3rd degree burn scalding hot. I had to go to work without a shower. I told the front desk about the problem. The staff harassed be with text messages until I blocked them. When I returned to the Sheraton Universal tired and jet lagged. I asked the front desk if the hot water problem in my room had been fixed or my room had been changed. I was informed the hot water had not been fixed, my room had not been changed, and the hotel was sold out. The desk clerk said they would send a technician to fix the hot water. I talked to the technician after he attempted to fix the hot water. He informed me he could not.
I did not intend to spend a third day working without a shower. I had to become unpleasant with the staff to affect a change of rooms.
When I arrived in the second room, the bearing in the HVAC fan was broken, making a loud noise, preventing me from sleeping. I called the front desk manager. He told me that I was the wrong guest for their hotel.
Superb location for Universal Studios. Nice short walk to park. Never used the shuttle. Nicely updated rooms and common areas. Great club lounge. Manuel and Matthew went above and beyond and always greeted us with smiles! Warm pool and hot tub.
It’s a nice location, I loved the atmosphere of the hotel. My only concern would be the safety aspect f the young guest walking around with out spatial awareness (especially in the LA area). The room was great, I had fun with the view. The value was a little disappointing for what I saw: no towels by the pool (with a bunch of kids around); one elevator down; stains behind bathroom doors; panels are stained, full of hair, coming off (guest room wall panels). Cleanliness was fine except for the pool area, the room was cleaned nicely. Noise was fine except around the elevator as it got backed up and created a ridiculous line. I was a little disappointed with the service at that point as no one assisted with that point. No one asked to take the bag to the room later with the service elevator or escort people to the terrace stairs.
The only people I actually interact with and introduced themselves were Esther at the valet and Juan in the restaurant. Esther was such a sweetheart, got me in and out quick as I was in a hurry. She made sure to listen to my concerns and got right to the issues. I greatly appreciated her efficiency. Juan was pleasant as we waited for the last member of our party to arrive.
Matthew is phenomenal! so nice and very kind. Always happy when we saw him.
Stayed at the Sheraton Universal and had one of the best valet experiences ever. Esther and Jose were absolute rockstars – super friendly, personable, and took amazing care of my vehicle the entire stay. They went above and beyond with their service and made everything smooth and stress-free. Management, if you’re reading this, these two definitely deserve a raise! 10/10
Clean and nice rooms, staff is great. It’s walking distance from universal which is so nice, but they also offer a shuttle.
Parking is super expensive.
Our experience was a 100/10! Right when we checked in we were treated with so much care. The front desk, Claribel, was so sweet and helpful throughout our entire stay. And of course the rest of the staff especially Matthew, Francisco, Helen, and Douglas, were able to provide us delicious meals and any other help we needed. Also, shoutout to Chito played a big part in helping to make our stay so welcoming and comfortable. The treatment from the staff was amazing and our overall stay was beyond great. Would definitely recommend staying at Sheraton Universal on your next California trip.
