Expensive early check in
Pros:

Location. Gym is not bad.

Cons:

Very opportunistic. If you came early you need to pay 75 or 40 dollars to have the room early. These policy is very tricky for an airport hotel… not super clean. Very old hotel. Small rooms. Better options Hyatt 2 blocks away and others more modern

Great overnight stay at LAX
Pros:

The property was located extremely close to the airport which meant it was easy to get to. The hotel had a complimentary shuttle bus which runs frequently. The room was very clean and spacious.

Convenient to LAX
Pros:

The Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel is a large property situated right at the entrance to LAX Airport. It is the closest hotel in the Bonvoy portfolio to the LAX terminals and is easily walkable in about 15 minutes. It is a rather unmemorable property, but it is highly functional for a short stay near the airport. That said, many parts of the property feel dated, including the elevators and hallways.

However, the rooms were clean and comfortable. I stayed in a king suite with a separate sitting area.

As a Bonvoy Ambassador elite member, I had access to the Sheraton Club lounge, which provided a quick breakfast option. The lounge is closed from 22:00 to 06:30, so you cannot get any snacks or beverages if arriving on a late flight—unlike the Marriott LAX down the street, which features a 24-hour M Club.
