Check in could be better
An absolutely incredible place. Definitely worth staying, we stayed 1 night, but I would definitely stay longer to enjoy the view, the pool and relaxing atmosphere
Nothing
The hotel, designed by the renowned French artist Philippe Starck, offers stunning interiors and picturesque surroundings, with breathtaking views over the valley and olive groves. Its location just outside of Ronda is ideal for exploring the city while still enjoying peace and quiet within a short distance. The beautiful farm and impressive olive oil museum add to the charm, though the lack of on-site staff requires guests to manage independently. The presence of wasps around the terrace, without alternatives or protective screens, was inconvenient. Additionally, the 20-euro breakfast was underwhelming, offering only basic items. Despite these issues, the hotel features excellent showers, comfortable facilities, and the olive oil tour is highly recommended, showcasing exceptional quality.
While the hotel’s design is visually impressive, several issues significantly impacted our stay. The overwhelming number of wasps around the property, especially on the terrace, made it uncomfortable to enjoy the outdoor spaces. There were no mosquito or insect screens, which could be a serious concern for anyone allergic to wasps. Breakfast was also a disappointment. Despite being charged 20 euros, there were no hot options—not even a warm or cooked egg. Furthermore, all the products served were store-bought and preserved, including jam jars and yogurts, with nothing organic, farm-made, or natural, which was unexpected given the hotel's farm setting. These factors together detracted from what could have been a much more enjoyable experience.
Room is amazing and the staff at the green house. Olive oil is yummy
The house is beautiful tho
The pool is not for kids since is deep at every corner and breakfast is too expensive.
The room was beautiful, the site was so picturesque and we went on the olive oil tasting the following day, which was amazing!
Lots of wasps near the pool... I got bitten a few times. The lip on the edge of the shower was not quite high enough to stop water from spilling out onto the floor of bathroom.
Wonderful and cozy place, beautiful house and apartments
Just one thing I’d add it’s a foot sleepers because it was cold for feet. But everything was so perfect that it’s just recommendation
Beautiful location with spacious and well equipped bedrooms. Outside area well maintained. We did the Olive Oil tour which was great fun, our guide, Maria was fabulous!
To improve the experience I would suggest that breakfast (which was delicious) could be offered to customers to be taken on the beautiful patio. Also would be good to have a list price list in the room for items in the minibar.
The property is located in a beautiful setting. The opportunity to take an olive oil tasting tour was an added bonus.
The sink in the bathroom was chipped, one of the bedside lamps did not work and the bidet was not fully functional.
Beautiful cortijo in a remote location with a lot of potential, although disappointingly, it leaves a lot to be desired.
Unfortunately, we had a very negative experience with the swimming pool. Upon arrival, we found a drowned baby lamb floating in the pool and were unable to use the pool during our stay. Neither management or booking.com have dealt with our grievances in a satisfactory manner, with management failing to engage with us directly when attempts were made to do so.
The breakfast selection was also very disappointing and comprised of mainly packaged goods from a supermarket and withered fruit; not what would be expected from a cortijo promoting an organic experience.
Whilst the skeleton staff on site were only sporadically seen, there was no waiter service during the entirety of the stay. Requests for drinks were met with the response that we should get any drinks from our mini-bar.
It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed.. it is very very quiet…
The lack of staff & all the signage all over the house…
Peaceful, relaxing, reclusive… best and most memorable part of our Spain trip. This is the perfect spot to unwind and take in the countryside living of Spain. The Olive Tour is part of the property, which I recommend. Breakfast is also available for an extra fee.
Wonderful experience. Just make sure to read all the fine print before arriving.
On beautiful grounds, very close to the town
Picture in booking didn’t match the bedroom we got
