Great, characterful pub with comfortable rooms
Pros:

I love the old building, village setting, friendly staff and good menu.

Cons:

The fresh milk supplied for tea in the morning had turned already by morning!

Looking forward to the next stay.
Pros:

Love this place and always look forward to a return.
Dinner was excellent with good choices on the menu, and with a wine list to match.
Breakfast also had a good selection of choices with quality ingredients.
The hotel sits in the middle of the village with all the local shops very close by.

Great for a cosy overnight stop off!
Pros:

It was nice to be central for easy access to local areas. Also convenient to have the pub food downstairs. The staff were extremely accommodating and dog friendly which is a massive attraction. We were able to sit in a dining room which was empty, so made our special night more VIP and nice and private from the crowded bar.

Cons:

It’s on the main street, there is no private car park or garden for the dogs comfort breaks late at night and early morning.
The room we were given had an overpowering odour of dampness, originating from the en-suite bathroom and the shower head was blocked with scale so the water flow was poor.
Again the room we were given was right next to a dining room and in the entrance, we didn’t mind but it felt so weird lying in bed next to people eating just through the wall and at the top of the stairs with the coming and going right outside the door.
WiFi was non existent, they tried to reboot it a few times but there was no service and the TV was small and just had basic channels so couldn’t use.

We enjoyed the White Hart greatly despite the odd hitch when we arrived
Pros:

Wonderful staff who couldn’t do enough to help. They moved us to another room as soon as they could. Good centre of the village location .food excellent.

Cons:

First bedroom was far too small with dangerous trip hazards & a strong smell of mildew. Carpets very dirty in places.

Absolutely amazing place
Pros:

We loved everything, from the staff to the food and the room absolutely amazing by far the best place we have stayed.

Cons:

Nothing absenothing to moan about or give a bad comment about. We will defobe back.

Great stay in a friendly traditional hotel that is full of character.
Pros:

We have stayed here many times and it is consistently excellent. The room was warm, comfortable and very well equipped, the staff are very friendly and the food was great. The bar has a welcoming atmosphere and a lovely roaring fire. We'll be back.
