Wir waren mit unserem Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel sehr zufrieden. Besonders gefallen hat uns die hervorragende Lage des Hotels, von der aus man alles gut erreichen kann. Auch die Ausstattung war sehr gut und hat unseren Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht.
Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Ein großes Lob geht auch an das gesamte Personal, das immer freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam war.
Besonders bedanken möchten wir uns bei der Mitarbeiterin Nina aus dem Restaurant. Sie war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hat sich hervorragend um die Gäste gekümmert.
Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt – wir kommen gerne wieder!

I would like to sincerely thank the staff of Swiss-BelResort Belitung. Only thanks to their kindness and responsiveness did I not interrupt my stay at the hotel. They were very helpful in organizing excursions: I joined the Hopping Island and City Tour, and they also recommended a wonderful seafood restaurant nearby. For this, I am truly grateful.
However, I have several serious concerns regarding the hotel itself and its management

Special thanks to driver Faisal for his help, to Tiara at reception for her support in organizing activities, and to the restaurant team who kindly brought coffee or omelets to my table. Nonetheless, I would recommend that staff improve their English skills, as the hotel presents itself as international.
The information below is given not to criticize rather for the hotel to improve in the future:
Stayed 5 nights: January 4–9, 2026
1. Mismatch with description and reviews.
The hotel advertises a “fabulous location & beachfront,” but in reality the path to the sea is an unpleasant tiled walkway, and the "beach" itself (a small platform only) is dirty with nothing to see. It is unclear what is meant by “beautiful location”—perhaps just the distant view of the sea from a kilometer away? The island is small, so everything is relatively close anyway, including the city and Tanjung Tinggi beach.
2. Swimming pools...
There are two large pools, but I never saw staff cleaning them in the morning. As a result, I did not feel comfortable using either of the pools.
3. Airport shuttle. Not provided...
I requested a shuttle one day before my flight, but received no reply, even though the website states “Great for your stay: Airport Shuttle.”
4. Cleanliness and room condition...
While the staff cleaned very well and were extremely attentive, the room itself was old: paint peeling from the walls, broken tiles, chips on the walls and skirting boards, worn-out towels (no longer white), and stains on curtains, bed covers, and chair cushions.
5. Hotel grounds...
The territory needs restoration. The sundeck has holes in the boards, and near the sea there is a lot of plastic and trash. Inside the hotel you can see a lot of items of old furniture stored or may be simply forgotten and left in the corridors, giving a feeling of neglect.
6. Breakfast...
Reviews mention good breakfasts, but I found them disappointing: too much greasy, heavily fried food, unripe and tasteless fruit (only a couple of varieties), and little variety overall. For me, breakfast was 6/10. On the last days I only ordered boiled eggs, cappuccino, and local mini desserts.

Le service de restauration (le petit déjeuner manque de fait maison, la pate a gaufre n'est pas la même chose que de la pate a pancake, et globalement les plats à la carte sont rarement de qualité, ce qui est dommage car le restaurant est souvent vide alors même que le manque de concurrence alentour devrait en faire un element d'attraction).
The area and ease of going to other places as it was right in front one of the main roads
Location and Value were very good. Pickup and Dropoff from and to airport worked well. Massage was excellent.
Breakfast could be improved, both for choice and quality. Laundry is pricey. In general you can tell that the building is a bit older.

Love the room as per my expected. Superb view, friendly staff. Comfy bed & clean. Location also not far from the local village.
The breakfast is nice, only sometimes still have some flying small insects touch the foods.

The range of breakfast offerings was good but overall quality was average. This may have been a function of the fact that occupancy was low.
- Strong hot water stream
- View (if you get the ocean view) otherwise it's a roof of the loby
- Air conditioner works
- Breakfast far below average for the price. i.e butter is the cheapest unbranded margarine, jams/marmalade is a thickener with colour and essence, cakes disintegrate when taken as if no egg used and no taste. Low quality bread. Toaster is not hot enough and you need to toast each slice of bread 3-5 times to make it toasted (if you put only once it will be only warm). In the morning we have to take Rp200.000 return hotel car to go to Sheraton (10 mins drive) to have a decent breakfast. Local breakfast are also tasteless.
- A la carte food are tasteless: pizza with no taste of tomato or cheese, fake papaya salad without tamarind sauce, tasteless Soto.
- Tea and coffee in the room are lowest quality
- TV screen is pixelated (low resolution) that destroy your eyes if you ever try to watch anything as your eyes need to constantly accommodate. There is no good TV channel anyway.
- No public taxi available, all monopoly by hotel car which is 5x more expensive
- Swimming pool is not that clean

Top quality facility, great views from rooms. Lovely pool.
The hotel is a little isolated, but local tours can be arranged through the front desk. We stayed three nights in town, then three at the Swiss Bel - that was a good mix.
