I thought it was odd to see complimentary ear plugs on my night stand until the train horns started blowing not too far away. This went on until 11pm. I was woken up by more train horns at 2:30am and more at 530am. Beware, and ask for a room on the non train side on the hotel. They had no more rooms, so I was stuck with what they had. I should have driven another 90 minutes to Madison,
My son goes to Loras and I’ve said this hotel probably seven times in the last year. It’s a no-frills hotel but with a consistent experience, which is what people want. Special shout out to Terry. I’ve dealt with him the most of the hotel and he is so accommodating, and such a great representative of what hospitality should be.
Lobby was and breakfast were ok
Our heat did not work in our room and they doubled charged me for the room and it took constant nagging to get it reversed
Nothing
I never stayed, they said they over booked
The price was very fair. If the price stays at this rate, we will be back. It was very quiet. A great location for drinks and eats.
My Home Away From Home – Exceptional Staff and Service
I checked into this hotel on Easter of 2025 and stayed for seven months straight on an extended business trip. Over that time, I saw the property make steady progress and experienced the kind of hospitality that makes long-term stays not just comfortable, but truly enjoyable.
The staff here are outstanding. Terry at the front desk sets the gold standard for customer service—welcoming every guest warmly and always going out of his way to ensure we have the information we need. He could honestly write the book on guest relations.
Housekeepers Tonya and Debbie kept my room spotless throughout my stay. They were proactive in checking if I needed supplies and took pride in their work, which showed in the perfection of the room’s cleanliness.
If any issue arose, Antonio from maintenance was quick to resolve it with professionalism and efficiency.
I also noticed a clear improvement in overall service quality during my stay, thanks to GM Alyssa’s leadership. Her dedication to the property and genuine care for guests did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated.
After seven months, this hotel truly felt like my home away from home. Its convenient location and exceptional staff make it one of the best choices in the industry. I look forward to returning.

This place is in an older area of Dubuque. A multi level motel with room suites. Our room was a large well done two room suite. Very neat and clean. Plenty of towels and a firm bed. The check in and check out went quick and easy. Parking was within feet of the entrance. Three minor irritants that affected my rating. It was difficult signing in to our streaming service on the TV. Got it done but took several tries. The motel is near active rail road tracks. Plenty of noise in the night. More annoying was the shower soap dispenser. No soap. One would think this would be a high priority but unfortunately no. Suggest you check this item when entering the room in case it needs attention. Not practical once in the shower with no soap.
Loved the full sized refrigerator. As far as the "kitchen " there is a small 2 burner stove top, no oven. It was adequate for heating our turkey bacon. The toaster will need replacing sooner rather than later, but did crisp up our gluten-free waffles. Microwave worked. The wall sockets did not work well and even blew a whole side of the wall when i tried to use my blow dryer. We had to use our water pic by the kitchen sink. Comfortable bed. Safe parking lot. The front desk staff were nice and got the electric fixed fairly promptly. The cabinets and closet was designed for tall people. I'm barely 5' tall, so my husband had to reach for me or i used my own step stool. Nice shower, but room really steamed up and made everything damp. Better ventilation would have been great. All that being said, we'd stay there again. Just more prepared.
Staff very nice. Suite was awesome. Corridor carpets needed to be vacuumed.
Expedia had overbooked this hotel. Got transferred to another hotel that was in a completely different area. Was bummed.
The gentleman at the front desk was helpful, friendly, and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!
I’ve been staying here for 2 years, and was pleasantly surprised at the reception by Terry and Sarah. They were energetic and very helpful, and sadly this was not the case prior on my stays. Kudos to them and for the change in front desk staff!
Dog barking at 1:00 am. Air conditioner fan rattled all night. Terrible!!
Beautiful place, great area to eat and relax, clean room, helpful staff
We had a really poor stay. The bedroom door had a design flaw where it automatically locked every time it closed, trapping us out for over an hour the first time - hotel staff tried to open with paperclips instead of keys. A motion-activated wardrobe light wouldn't turn off, shining bright light into the bedroom all night making it impossible for my daughter to sleep. The TV didn't work either - really helpful when traveling with toddlers. Despite reporting all issues on night one, absolutely no repairs were made by day two. The overnight training manager was really nice and visited twice but couldn't fix anything. The manager on site didn’t come. We paid nearly $700 and ended up checking out early on our second night because the stay was so miserable - we wasted hours of precious family time dealing with these preventable problems instead of enjoying our vacation.
Room was large and very clean. Bed was very comfy. Continental breakfast was great. Would definitely stay there again.
Wonderful staff, clean room, nice property. Will definitely be staying there again while in Dubuque!
