Sheraton Reston Hotel

Room very nice overall would recommend but the man at the desk when we checked in was less than nice.

This property failed in terms of customer service and how they lack empathy of customers. Not only did the front desk representative Tommy double charged my card, he was rude and it felt like he rushed me the entire time. The manager did not make my experience any better as I had to explain the situation multiple times in order to get it fixed. The beds in our room did not have a fitted sheet, and they told us they “ran out” of towels. I will never return to this specific location. 0/10.

The staff at the breakfast bar were polite and friendly, as was the check-in staff. Housekeeping had to be directed multiple times to clean our room and put on clean sheets.

The nicest thing about the room is the modern bathroom. The thing I did not like was the smallest fridge and no microwave.

Flight cancelled. Reserved room. Upon checkin, nothing was explained. Did not ask for Bonvoy number. Not needed handicap accessible room was given, far from check-in. Not told about free breakfast. Discovered it but key didn’t work, went to front desk, they”activated” it and I asked if there was free WiFi. Yes for Bonvoy members- got number added. Went to breakfast. Key still didn’t work. Bar guy let me in. Price for meh-$413….

You can tell this property is very well maintained, there was actually a building maintenance guy wiping the dust off the ceiling HVAC diffusers in the bar area. My room & bathroom were very clean, comfy bed & pillows. All around a very nice experience.

Easy check in process!! Spacious and very clean rooms. Quiet area with shoping and several restaurants near by.

I am not sure what is happening to this hotel, but the service has been poor for the last couple of months. I have been staying at this hotel for years, using it to prepare for and convalesce after international flights. I have stayed here twice in the past month due to business reasons. During the first stay, I was placed in the wing, instead of the main building of the hotel without any explanation. The person who checked me in (a red headed woman) was not the friendliest during check in. The hotel was pretty much deserted at that time. The room was a nice long stroll away from the front desk and restaurant. When I inquired about the reason why I was placed in the wing during checkout, I was told that the elevator was out of service. I was also told that I had the option of using the service elevator. I was not offered the service elevator as a choice during check in.
During my second stay, I was again placed in the wing, service elevator again was not offered as a choice, and the check in was again crappy with the same red head. The elevator maybe down for months because they need a part that is sitting on a shelf somewhere in China. During my most recent stay in the area, I chose the Washington Dulles Marriott Suites. Not only was the stay phenomenal, but it was cheaper than the Reston Sheraton. My advice, stay there instead, you won’t regret it!!

The main elevators were out of service, but they did a great job with alternatative. They even put up snacks at the elevator doors.
