Tru By Hilton Staunton

Schoon. Fleurige frisse kamer. Schone bedden. Schone badkamer met prima douche. We voelden ons thuis. Het hotel maakt een gezellige indruk.
Ontbijt was veel zoet, maar dat is bij de meeste hotels zo. Pannekoekenmachine maakt lekkere pannekoekjes in een minuut. Yoghurtmachine maakte vanilleyoghurt met kaneel. Prima te eten. Daarnaast vers fruit. Bananen en appels. Je kunt sneetjes brood en bagels roosteren.
We zijn voor 1 nacht geweest, maar had best langer willen blijven!
Thee en koffie kan je onbeperkt nemen 24 uur per dag. Parkeren voor de deur. Honden mogen in het hotel. Ik heb een pet free kamer gevraagd. Geen last van allergie.
Prima ruimte was de gym.

Clean

I like the friendly welcome when I entered and the ease of checking in. Clean and free coffee in the lobby.

Checking staff was very friendly and attentive.
While we understood this was a “modern” style hotel, no carpeting in the guest rooms were uninviting. When I spilled water on the floor I immediately wiped it up so we didn’t have to fearful of slipping. After wiping the floor the towel was black with dirt! We never took our shoes off again in the room. Basically the floors were not washed, but swept and barely at that. The room had no coffee maker, so you had to go done for breakfast just to get a “awake up cup”. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom most likely because the exhaust fan did not work. Mini refrigerator was in the room but it was barely cold.
Breakfast was average. Interesting new technology for pancake making and yogurt.
The hotel allows pets if you have one. Many fast food places around the hokel. The hotel had a billboard at the elevators suggesting the staff’s recommendations for sights to see, places to eat and hotel information. We loved this idea!! Hotel is located on a very busy, noisy highway, but easy on/off to Route 81.

It was convenient to where my daughter lives and it was very clean and comfortable

We had a quick overnight stay with 3 young kids. The room had plenty of space and was very clean. There is a great gaming space that our kids enjoyed. Continental breakfast had lots of options including bacon, a pancake machine, oatmeal, etc. Plenty of options! The gym is well-equipped for many types of workouts. A great stay!

My family and I stayed her for 2 weeks while we were in between houses (moving). The staff treated us so well and our room and the common areas were immaculate. Our dog stayed with us and she was treated like a queen. Could not recommend this hotel more!!!!!

My friend and I just finished up a great weekend at Tru Hilton Staunton. We were able to do an early check-in and upon arrival, saw our room was very clean, organized, and loaded with amenities. Calvin was very helpful throughout the entire process and Darlene was sweet to check in and see if we needed anything during our stay. The free breakfast was a delicious bonus! Would happily stay again.

Cleanliness

My journey for this stay was an unplanned life saving trip. There was a Keeshond dog (we’ll call him Manny for this review, to protect his identity,) in North Carolina being adopted by a family just outside of Boston that needed transport to his new home. While the dog’s past story was sad, his future was bright. I volunteered to drive him from NC to Boston. Driving 2.5 hours from my home in SC to pick him up was just the start. Then northbound we went. He was a perfect passenger. We drove u til I could t drive any longer. That was right around Staunton, VA. I’ve stayed at Hilton brand hotels in Staunton before and always enjoyed my stays. This was my first stay at a Tru by Hilton location and will not be my last. Everything was great. Upon checking out Manny the rescue pup and I met Calvin, your fest clerk. Calvin was awesome. He was kind, professional and knowledgeable. He made sure our every need was met. A good night’s rest, fresh bottles water for pup and driver, a healthy jot breakfast with the coolest pancake making machine I’ve ever seen and a little treat cup of dog treats for Manny, the reason for the trip. The price was fair, the facility was perfect and the staff was welcoming, even at checkout, we were made to feel like welcomed and valued family. Thank you Calvin and Tru by Hilton. We will be back. I highly recommend this Tru location. If you stay there, check for Calvin at the front seat. If you see him, say hello and let him know the Keeshonden transporter heading to Boston sent you. You’ll surely make him smile. And if you’re a pet parent, let him know that too. His smile will be brighter for sure. He is a dog lover. Great job Tru by Hilton.

Clean, modern, efficient.

We were given a nice, clean, well appointed, spacious room for the two of us and our sweet service dog. Calvin welcomed us at check in and went over and beyond our Honors membership with a treat filled doggie bag, listened to our requests and gave us excellent recommendations for a nice dinner as this was our first time at the Tru in Staunton, VA. He was a true pleasure to talk with and very helpful. You are lucky to have him on your staff. We’re certainly happy he was here.
