Cute, clean
Couch bed not comfotable, hot tub too far away
Our group was 7 adults and a 4 year old. We stayed at Magnolia Cottage from December 26 to December 29th, 2025. There was plenty of space for us to be very comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed with all the dishes and accoutrements that our group needed. The soaker tub and steam shower in the main suite were superb. There was never a moment we felt on top of each other, the lay out both inside and out allowed us to feel communal but provided enough space to find quiet if wanted. Kairyn and Melanie went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and to accomodate what we required. A big thank you to them both
The beds were very uncomfortable and in poor repair, including sagging mattresses and creaky frames. The four year old was the only one satisfied with his bed.
The stove needs to be replaced. The main burners were failing and the oven didn't maintain temperature. This kitchen had everything we required except a stove that we could count on. This was very disappointing.
The hot tub was amazing and the system to sign up for a time was so easy and efficient. The staff was communicative and very accommodating. Just steps away from the lake. I would highly recommend this location.

The bed was against the wall which made it very difficult to get out during the night, unless I crawled over my husband, waking him up. Might stay in a bigger cabin next time…
We verbleven 2 nachtjes in de Lilly Pad Cottage, een heel knusse cottage. Ondanks het compacte formaat is de cottage heel praktisch ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien, inclusief enkele moderne snufjes zoals een elektronisch keypad voor toegang.
De cottage ligt in een mooi onderhouden gemeenschappelijke tuin. Voor wie wil ontspannen is er een hottub, en je kan gezellig borrelen rond een sfeervol gasvuur.
De communicatie met de beheerders verliep heel vlot. Ze lieten ons vooraf weten dat er tijdens één nacht een stroomonderbreking zou zijn (van 22u tot 6u), en boden zelfs de mogelijkheid om kosteloos te annuleren. We kozen ervoor om te blijven en zijn daar heel blij om — de stroomonderbreking heeft ons totaal niet gestoord.
Ook de ligging is ideaal: vlakbij de promenade aan het water en verschillende leuke restaurantjes.
Kleine aandachtspunten:
De cottage is compact, wat betekent dat je bijvoorbeeld niet rond het bed kan lopen — je moet dus over je partner heen kruipen als je ’s nachts naar het toilet wil.
Ook een kleine tip:
De badkamer heeft een schuifdeur, maar er is geen hendeltje aan de binnenkant, wat het openen van de deur van binnenuit iets minder handig maakt.

Conveniently located close to town, but gave the feeling of being "away" at a cottage. The cottage was very nicely decorated and well equipped. The air conditioner was quiet enough for sleeping.
We seemed to run out of hot water after one shower.
The location & coziness of Lily Pad cottage was perfect for our visit.
We never got any information about how to check in.
What a lovely spot and so close to the beach! It was easy to park and not have to get in your car until it was time to go.
