Dear Sheraton Hotel Management,

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and to file a formal complaint regarding the unacceptable treatment my daughters received at your hotel.

I have been a loyal guest at Sheraton hotels for many years and have always trusted your brand. Unfortunately, the events of June 22, 2026, have severely undermined that trust.

I booked and fully paid for a room through Booking.com for my two daughters, aged 16 and 17. They arrived at your hotel in the evening after traveling alone from Israel, exhausted after a long international flight, expecting to check into a room that had already been confirmed and paid for.

To their shock, the duty manager refused to check them in solely because they were under the age of 21. My daughters presented their reservation confirmation and explained that they had traveled alone from Israel and had nowhere else to go. Instead of showing understanding or attempting to find a reasonable solution, the duty manager dismissed their explanation, stating that the reservation confirmation “didn’t matter” to him and suggested that they find another hotel.

My daughters were left frightened, distressed, and in tears. Leaving two young girls stranded in a foreign country late in the evening, despite holding a valid and fully paid reservation, demonstrates a serious lack of judgment, compassion, and customer care.

Fortunately, my sister arrived approximately one hour later and was forced to make a new reservation under her own name so that my daughters could finally receive a room. Had she not arrived, they would have been left without accommodation.

If your hotel has a minimum age requirement of 21, this restriction should have been made absolutely clear before the reservation was accepted and payment collected. Accepting a reservation, charging the guest in full, and only refusing accommodation upon arrival is entirely unacceptable.

Good value for money, without the breakfast
Pros:

We liked the room and location (it's right next to Times Square and a 10 min walk to Central Park), we also got free water. The bedroom and bathroom were clean. Close to transport links too (subway stations)

Cons:

Lifts are extremely slow, and they broke down (although this may have been due to the World Cup). We had to walk up 16 floors. The breakfast was extremely salty and greasy, disappointing for the price paid. Hidden charges or a deposit on top of the price - so you can charge things to your room, but they did not make us aware of this extra cost.

Poor value for money
Pros:

Great location and comfy beds

Cons:

Queued over 30 mins to check in. Got charged an extra USD35 a night for each room to spend in the restaurant or coffee shop which was not mentioned on booking.com but the queues in the morning every day were so bad for these we didn’t get a chance to recoup it. Rooms had very basic toiletries, no minibar and even no water which you had to get from the gift shop. Room decor was very tired and bathroom was tiny..

Excelente ubicación y cómoda habitación

Cons:

La cerradura del baño estaba dañada y me quedé encerrado, en una situación de emergencia sería algo muy delicado.

La puerta del baño deteriorada, la puerta de la habitación tenía un espacio entre el piso que no daba total privacidad.

Mucha demora con los elevadores y a veces no respondían.
