EVERYTHING
NOTHING
At the check in counter the gentleman called Faique was surely not well behaved-He destroyed our check in experience down to zero-by not giving us rooms we should have been given-He ended up giving us One room of the 2 we had booked-After that we sent keys for 2 rooms opposite to each other -which were smoking rooms and then when we got upset-He gave us room much further away from our rooms.
He really did not behave as a gentleman.
Anyway we will not be back to stay with u ever-after spending so much money with u and getting such a raw deal.
Such a person in check in team will surely bring your ratings tumbling down.
Smoking and Non smokinb rooms in the same alley-How can u do that-
Atleast the alleys should be different
U have four alleys on this Grand Presidential floor-why mix smoking and nonsmoking rooms
Great
Nothing
All the stafff of Frountvoffice and F&B are very cooperativeand made my stay comfirtable .
I enjoyed in the Polo.bar
Somking area in POLo.bar in lobby is too many lights ,you can remove 2 bulbs oit of four bulbs.
Overwhelmed staff, dated old rooms, and horribly rude (in training) check in staff. I feel bad as normally don't write negative reviews, but I don't want others to make the same mistake. We were checked in by a gentleman in training who treated us like absolute crap (and rates were exceptionally high). The main restaurant is overrun-dirty and not up to the standards of even a random Hampton Inn! After staying in true 5 star places in Delhi-this was a nightmare. The transportation personnel and greeters at the front door were the only shining light in this otherwise run down place. They also treat NRI very poorly.
I checked in at 12:50. Room was not ready, which is fine. Had lunch. I requested for a nice room. They gave me a corner room which is fine.
As soon as i started to put my toiletries in the bathroom, I noticed an already opened shower cap & vanity kit in the jar. I called the concierge immediately but I waited for about 25 mints till someone showed up. The room service person arrived & said “oh I am sorry I forgot to remove & put new one in”. Like seriously!!
They told me they can change my room but apparently the room they had given me was better than the one they were going to change. So I decided to stay in the current room.
Then I wanted to use the toilet & I could not believe my eyes when I saw small small stains on the pot. I first thought it’s just discolouration. Then I took a picture of the spots & stains & then took some shower gel to start cleaning the pot myself. I was really tired & exhausted & did not want to wait more for the cleaning people to come. Wish I started cleaning inside & outside, I also saw a tiny pee stain. How disgusting is that.
When you come to a 5 star hotel, you come for a great experience & relaxation. But here I was first cleaning stains on the pot, so I can use it. This was the biggest turn off for me. A 5 star hotel cannot afford to make such a mistake. I was very disgusted by this.
So if you plan to stay here, make sure you check the bathroom before using it.
Good location
Extremely bad service, complained several times about the construction right outside my window making loud noise, despite of several assurances on every call no one did anything they promised
Nice hotel, center location. I had a little problem but was solved. First we got a standard room which was small, dirty, and had a smoke smell. My wife is very alergic so she immediately reacted. After complaining, the manager upgraded us to larger room in main tower. I checked-in late evening around 7pm, so I didn't get my evening cocktails lounge hour as I supposed to get as a titanium elite member. Manager didn't offer anything else. Breakfast was good, but the server was busy. Hotel was very busy due to some convention in Delhi, so I guess staff was not paying attention to details and I was not fully satisfied with the check-in staff. as I used to have from this hotel on my previous stays with super friendly hospitality. I guess the hotel was very busy, but it showed in their lack of personal service. Overall experience was fine.
What used to be the ITC Maurya is now just a pale shadow of the same, Money making is prioritised over customer experience. Staff has become unconcerned and somewhat rude also. Once it used to be an iconic hotel and my favourite but not anymore. Newer hotels and foreign chains are doing much better now.
If you’re looking for warm Indian hospitality and personalisation don’t expect here.
Location, cleanliness, amenities, food, and staff
The food at breakfast was average
The hotel has amazing ambience. Staff are welcoming. Special thanks to Nirmala, the housekeeping lady who is very warm and caring. Dal at Bukhara restaurant was heavenly experience. Highly recommended!
This is the Most awful hotel I have stayed in. Definitely not a 5 star. Upper 3 star at best. Staff very unfriendly not welcoming at all. Rooms dated beyond belief. All the fixtures in the shower are rusted and very old, caked with calcium also. There was water and hair in bath tub when we arrived. Pillows so old and limp. Appears clean but very old and dated fixtures. We are titanium members and have stayed at many properties. This is the most expensive - over $800 per night, we have three rooms for 6 nights. And by far the most disappointing. I recommend the Oberoi.
What a bummer 😂 Is this a luxury hotel….?
NO WAY .
By just having shiny , traditional architectural design’s , it doesn’t become classy. It’s totally over hyped.
The rooms are clean but very small. Bathroom is ridiculous. There is no proper place to stand under shower which is fixed above very small bath tub. Is this LUXURY.?
Food is absolutely average at Pavilion. Breakfast is so so.
Check in process was awful. The basic sense in India is totally missing. How can any top class hotel offer Single Queen bed when 2 gentlemen sharing the room??? Come on people . Have some sense and don’t give answers like client didn’t mention that….
Pathetic sluggish thinking on your part.
U don’t know what is Hospitality for sure.
When u put an extra bed , you can’t move in the room.
The main door of the room was not getting locked properly.
Second day we had breakfast at Dum Pukht. My God ! It was horrible.
Extremely bad service. Omelette took half an hr. My friend got coffee 3 times after asking for tea. Dosa was like papad. No taste at all.
But then staff is very friendly and at least they keep showing that they care for you and they want to give you best service ….
The main example happened at renowned dining resturant BUKHARA ,dinner time. Manager promised us table (for 8) in half an hour at 9.10 pm and we made the biggest mistake by believing him. We got the table at 11.30pm…… TOTALLY INSANE ! and on top of it food is OooooooooK …..
I am not saying this is bad hotel but totally overhyped… I have stayed in Taj, in lots of cities and this property is like 45% of TAJ !
So never ever go there with high hopes.
Extremely disappointed. Hotel is always noisy in lobby area.
The best part is, I liked the well equipped gym..
Everything was perfect, from check in to check out.
Liked Everything.
The property has two restaurants. Bukhara, is the famous north indian restaurant which is tough to get into, but being a guest it is easier (although we were slightly disappointed with the food).
The hotel service was great, and the rooms were comfortable (nothing special though).
The lobby has some beautiful notable artwork which was a highlight.
I'd say fine for a stay in Delhi, but nothing special.
Very smelly room, over dose of fragrance and very stale air. been unbearable to stay - regretting why I booked here. go to any below average hotel - will be better.
