Empfehlenswertes Stadthotel im Herzen von Essen
Pros:

Zimmer in Größe, Aufteilung und Ausstattung sehr gut. Das Bett in der gebuchten Kategorie war ausreichend groß und bequem. Die Klimaanlage arbeitete auf gutem Niveau; das war auch sehr wichtig bei AT von 39°C. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. Durch die unmittelbar angrenzende U-Bahn Station lassen sich bequemst alle Highlights der City erreichen und sogar die Weiterfahrt ins schöne GE ist möglich.

Cons:

Die Stufen von der Parkebene des Parhauses zum Aufzug sind etwas unerfreulich.

Pros:

Super Lage direkt neben der Philharmonie (wir waren zum Konzert angereist).

Cons:

Rezeption war unterbesetzt, auch das Personal im Restaurant war durch den Andrang nach dem Konzert (Netrebko) völlig überfordert,
Klimaanlage den heißen Temperaturen geschuldet (fast 40 Grad) etwas laut.

Pros:

Sehr freundliches und hilfreiches Personal am Empfang. Im Hotel herrscht eine lockere und ansprechende Atmosphäre. Wir reisten mit Hund an und dieser bekam ein wunderbares Bett. Die Lage am Park ist ideal für die Gassirunden und wenn es nicht so heiß gewesen wäre, hätten wir auch gerne auf der Terrasse gegessen.
Leider funktionierte die Klimaanlage in unserem Zimmer nicht so richtig, sodass wir in ein anderes Zimmer umzieh n mussten. Gut, dass das möglich war, allerdings hat die Klimaanlage am 2. Tag auch nicht mehr die gewünschte Leistung erbracht. Bei den hohen Außentemperaturen von bis zu 38 Grad war das wohl nicht mehr möglich.
Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut,

Pros:

Wir hatten ein grosses Zimmer mit Blick auf den schönen angrenzenden Stadtpark. Mit Hund sehr ideal, da gleich vor dem Hotel im Grünen für einen Spaziergang. Gleich neben den Hotel eine gute Pizzeria gefunden. Das Frühstück, das wir, dank des schönen Wetters, auf der Terrasse einnehmen konnten, war sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Wir waren auf der Durchreise und blieben nur eine Nacht.

Cons:

Es wäre sehr gut, wenn die Hundegebühren bei der Buchung gleich ersichtlich wären!.... wir sind auf unseren Reisen schon in vielen, auch teils teuren Hotels, abgestiegen. Die Hundegebühren beliefen sich immer zwischen 10 und 20€. Aber 50€, wie in diesem Hotel, das ist uns noch nie passiert! Keine Ahnung wie sich diese Pauschale rechnet. Hätten wir das vor der Buchung und der Anreise gewusst statt erst nach der Ankunft, es hätte unseren "Schock" etwas mildern können!!!....und/oder wir hätten ein anderes Hotel mit moderateren Pauschalen in Betracht ziehen können.

Die Betten sind ziemlich durchgelegen. Es sollte eine richtige Kaffeemaschine und nicht nur ein Wasserkocher im Zimmer sein. Wir hatten um ein ruhiges Zimmer gebeten, es lag zur Straße
