Spacious suites and generally well-maintained rooms
Helpful and friendly staff (specific praise for restaurant staff/Daniel)
Good on-site dining options and enjoyable breakfasts
Nice breezy hilltop setting

Cleanliness issues in places: chipped furniture, hair in corridors, damp bathrooms
Check-in delays and occasional staff operational confusion (billing, mini-bar handling)

Some facilities closed or damaged after typhoon (villa roofs, limited services)

Categories

Cleanliness
7.8
Mixed signals: several guests praised overall cleanliness, but multiple reviews mention chipped tables/floors, hair in corridors, old/unclean sofas, damp bathroom tiles and ventilation issues — lowers cleanliness score.
Service
8.9
Generally positive staff interactions (supportive staff, Daniel praised, friendly personnel) but some operational issues: slow check-in, confused staff over billing and pool-to-room charge handling, inconsistent caddie quality.
Location
9
Location described as 'prime' with excellent bay/golf views and hilltop breeziness; downside noted that the hotel sits on a hill with limited nearby services (requires car/scooter) which affects convenience.
Room Quality
8.1
Rooms and suites are spacious and some well-maintained with great views, but several reports of chipped furniture, damaged villa roofs from typhoon and older bathroom fixtures reduce the rating.
Amenities
9.2
Strong amenities cited: exceptional swimming pool, golf course and good on-site restaurants. Some facilities were temporarily unavailable due to typhoon and there is no on-site ATM, but overall amenities are a highlight.
Value for Money
8.4
Perceived as generally good value by many guests given location and facilities; some concerns about unclear online pricing/booking conditions and expectation vs. 5-star standards for food reduce score slightly.
Food and Beverage
8
Restaurant food praised by several guests (notably Indian dishes), and breakfast generally good, but complaints include subpar coffee and some guests feeling the food isn't fully 5-star standard.
Overall Experience
9.4
Overall sentiment is very positive for many guests (marvellous stays, return intentions, excellent views and pool), despite isolated negative experiences (early check-out, internet lag, facility damage).

Pros:
