Lack of a decent restaurant
When I arrived at DCA, I called the hotel for a ride. They said they send shuttles on the hour (other hotels were sending shuttles every 15 to 20 minutes). The stop at Terminal One is not well lit. It was 10 p.m. and I did not see the shuttle. The hotel said that it did go to the airport and that I would have to wait for the 11 p.m. shuttle. I also did not see that shuttle so I had to pay $40 for a Lyft. I took pictures of the shuttle the next day. There are no decals or any signage on the bus. The only evidence that this was the Sheraton shuttle bus were two small pieces of paper with Sheraton printed. Even in the light of day, it still is very difficult to see those papers taped to the windows. Needless to say, I was not pleased. I asked that the director of the hotel call me when I checked in. Unfortunately, that person did not have the guts to call me. When I walked into the room, the room odor was displeasing. The air did not have a natural scent. Then, I noticed a small fly buzzing around and then, I noticed a little bug crawling on the bathroom floor. The hotel is located next to only housing. You have to walk a mile to get to the Pentagon City Mall for stores/restaurants, etc. I do not usually stay at upper class hotels like Sheraton so it was quite surprising that this hotel did not meet my expectations.
So clean and friendly. It was silent and a great place to stay.

Noise from the big air conditioning apparatus located on a lower roof of the hotel, and nearby roads.
One of the shuttle drivers, the one who seemed of Middle Eastern origins, was very unfriendly and impolite.
I asked gently if it was possible to have some “English breakfast” and camomile tea in the room, but apparently that was WAY TOO MUCH TO ASK, and the IMPOSSIBLE request wasn’t granted.
Bathtub/shower was of third world standard.
Most guests were very ugly and dressed like gypsies. One man, possibly from Pakistan or a similar region, ate with his hands!
