We always love to stay at the Sheraton Philadelphia University City when we visit UPenn. The hotel itself is perfectly located and currently undergoing an impressive renovation. We mostly stay here though for the people. Everyone is so helpful, friendly, and welcoming. From Montrose at the front desk, to Teresa, Margaret, and Jacke in the Club Lounge. They greet us and treat us like family and we always feel so comfortable and appreciated here. Thank you for making this a home away from home for us.
Staying at this Sheraton is like staying with family! In particular, we are always greeted with smiles and hugs at the club lounge by Teresa, Margaret, and Jacke. It makes a huge difference when you travel and feel so welcomed always.
I would highly recommend this hotel particularly adding on the club access.
The hotel is under construction but that did not diminish the stay. Hotel employees were wonderfully helpful. A shoutout to Ty (Tyree Thomas), who is a perfect front desk person! Also great was the gentleman who was on the desk when I checked in the evening of Feb. 3 (I didn't get his name).
My dad’s at UPenn for cardiac procedures. We’ve been up in Philly a few times now and stayed at a few different hotels. The other day we stayed at this Sheraton. What a great choice! Ty at the front desk was as perfect as he could be—he was super helpful and accommodating. Teresa was in the breakfast lounge the following morning and was equally as friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were super soft and smooth. (I’m very particular about sheets and id actually buy ones like these). The room was very clean and updated. We went home for two nights and are back in this hotel again tonight and tomorrow for my dad’s second procedure. I know it will exceed our expectations again!
We've stayed at the Sheraton University City several times over the last two years, including 3 times in January and February 2026. It has been perfect every time. Convenient to Penn Medicine facilities. The newly renovated areas are lovely. And we love the self-parking -- that's why we chose it the first time we stayed there -- in and out as you please with no waiting.
We've found all the staff to be welcoming, helpful, and friendly without overstepping the line into un-professional.
I want to particularly commend Ty and Romy in Reception. Romy secured us an accessible room when I called to request one for an upcoming reservation -- my husband had fractured a shin bone slipping on the ice and was temporarily using a walker. They were both very accommodating when we arrived, as well as being their usual welcoming selves.
It is always our first choice when we are planning to stay in the area.
I had an outstanding experience at the hotel. The customer service was extraordinary.
Ty took great care of me, greeting me with a smile every day, helping me navigate the public transportation, and helping me out with accomdations during travel delays.
It was remarkable service -- Ty truly improved my day and my stay in Philly.
Great Customer Service from Nezha at the front desk. THank uou for helping me with printing out my business documents every day!
The team went above and beyond and making me feel welcome. I was feeling sick & Ty offered me to do a late 4pm checkout. Trae was very warm at checkin. One of the most hospitable Sheratons I've stayed at. And the rooms are newly remodeled.
Proximity to university Penn is excellent. Two minute walk to the bookstore.
Parking price, but that’s part of every hotel in the city.
Everything
Everything was great
位置优秀,员工态度尚可。
连续两天半夜被虚假警报惊醒,酒店对此毫无作为和解释,缺乏诚意。
Attended an event with my company and had the pleasure of meeting Chef Delores Browning at the carving station!
Her horseradish sauce was perfection and complimented the beef well. The turkey and cranberry sauce were also phenomenal. More than anything, it was her delightful personality that made this an experience.
Unsure when and if I’ll ever have the opportunity to interact with her again, but please send my compliments to the chef! Thanks for a memorable evening!!
Despite the fact that the hotel was undergoing major renovations, my stay here was extraordinarily pleasant, thanks in large part to the friendly folks at the front desk. Professional, kind, caring. To a person they daily went out of their way to make me--and I am sure all other guests--feel welcome. Even in adversity they showed class well worth the praise.
Delores Browning, was very helpful and courteous. It was a joy interacting with Delores.
We met many helpful and courteous people. Ty couldn’t have been more helpful with directions and he set us up for the best weekend stay. If I had a business I would love to have a person like Ty working with my customers. Thank you Ty. I hope to see you again. We would definitely stay at this Sheraton again
Staff was accommodating and generally helpful. The bed was comfortable.
Tub/Shower not cleaned effectively. Able to visualize multiple areas of the tub with brown grim with associated grit feel to touch. Towels were replished; however, some of the towels had obviously been used to clean blood or something red because the discoloration was still obviously visible.
Even though the hotel was under construction, the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.
The room was clean and they freshened it every day which many hotels no longer do
Theresa and Margaret, who ran the lounge on the 20th floor, were phenomenal. They greeted me with a smile every morning, gave wonderful restaurant recommendations, and genuinely wanted me to have a god time while I was in Philadelphia.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat .
The location was perfect and the service that the staff (Teresa, Margaret, Jackie, Sharon and Chef Rodney) provided was exceptional. I look forward to working with them again in the future.
