I had a pleasant 3-night stay at Kampi Hotel Tunjungan. The highlight of my stay was definitely the staff—they were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always greeted us with a warm smile. Their hospitality made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.
The location is another major advantage. It is conveniently situated, making it easy to explore Surabaya and access nearby shopping, dining, and attractions.
That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. The cleanliness could be better, and I hope the hotel pays more attention to room maintenance and guest safety. The inside door lock in our room was broken and could not be used, which was a concern. In addition, the Wi-Fi connection was very slow and inconsistent throughout our stay.

I’ve stayed here several times now and it’s a great hotel. Comfortable rooms, with great showers, kettles etc. The staff are lovely! It’s also centrally located in Surabaya. Breakfast is excellent.

Cons:

The “city view” rooms can be noisy as the sounds carry up from noisy venues etc from below. They need better insulation. Linen could use a refresh and the linen in my first room didn’t seem fresh when I arrived which was concerning. No soap at the basin for handwashing. No fridge in the second room I stayed in.

Für eine Nacht okay, ich würde hier aber nicht wieder einchecken.

Cons:

Das Frühstück ist für Europäer schon besonders, wir hatten ein Toast, ein Omelett und etwas Melone, dazu Wasser. Alles andere war uns zu exotisch.
Das Zimmer war nicht richtig sauber. Der Boden hatte Flecken und es lagen lange schwarze Haare im Bad und im Zimmer.

Good for 1 night.
Pros:

1. Location: Close to one of the biggest mall of Surabaya. Only 7 mins walk from the mall.
2. The room is very clean and well designed.
3. Breakfast gets many freshly cooked options and with high quality.

Cons:

1. The shower only gets warm water, no hot water.
2. No hair dryer in the room and u need to borrow from the front desk. U will get a receipt of borrowing and u have to return by yourself when u checkout.

Bien pero algo incómodo por el ruido
Pros:

Me gustó el desayuno, que es variado. La cama era bastante cómoda. el hotel queda cerca de la estación de trenes.

Cons:

Por la ventana entraba mucho ruido del exterior. Tuve que usar tapones y ni así dejaba de oírse. Creo que el ruido venía de un bar con música en directo.
