Disappointing and not as advertised.
Pros:

Breakfast was good. Had to wait 30 minutes for a table. Restaurant was 2/3 empty. Wait was due to not enough staff to serve.

Cons:

Poor service or empathy. Their apologies were hollow. Elevators were inefficient or not working. Again, long waits, packed cars. Passed on two elevators before able to get into one.
Hire more staff, especially when the hotel was sponsor of the Blues Festival and would anticipate higher volume.

Lounge furniture uncomfortable, very deep and difficult to be comfortable.

Affordable place to spend a few days at the most. Great views of Mt Rainier.
Pros:

The view of Mt. Rainier (Mt Tahoma) and the location/proximity to coffee shops, good Thai place, and the highway. The $5 to bar/grill if you skip housekeeping daily. Patron level free breakfast is consistent and pretty good. Good ice machine there. There are some staff members that are adorable - as they are personable and fun. But do they want to work at the hotel? It feels like no.

Cons:

The free wifi was horrible. The hours for the restaurant were kooky - they may have been experiencing staffing strains. At some points, you do feel staff have no desire to help you out. The one ev charger that was not a Tesla charger was broken, staff notified, but nothing happened. The bellman carts are way too big and old for the elevators. And the elevators may need to be serviced. out of 25 floors, only two floors had working ice machines.

Wonderful stay in Tacoma.
Pros:

A wonderful stay in downtown Tacoma. We were allowed to check in early with no hassle. The rooms have been recently renovated and it was performed excellently. The location to visit the many attractions is ideal. The incredible amount of art is overwhelming. I do wish the restaurant offered a better selection but the variety of nearby restaurants is wonderful. A very pleasant 4 day stay.

Not Ideal for Families
Pros:

2nd time staying at this hotel for conference and location is good. Room is clean and AC works really well in the summer heat. Beds were on the smaller side if shared (double size instead of queen) and the sink in our bathroom was really shallow so water spilled everywhere. Water pressure in shower is also really low but temperature is OK. EV chargers did not work for non-Tesla vehicle and spoke to other EV drivers who also have the same experience.

May not stay here again if driving EV or travelling with family.

Good for business, ask to be away from the elevators.
Pros:

I got a two bed room in club level so I could take advantage of the breakfast. The breakfast is a strong word. There are eggs, bacon and something else every morning. They also have oatmeal and some pastries. And of course coffee. Its not a full breakfast but it is ok and definitely tasty.

The club level has zero snacks despite what the website says. I would recommend ordering snacks or buying something from the front desk.

The location is great. The coffee shop kitty corner from the hotel is stellar. There is a thai, pizza, spaghetti, Japanese, and sandwich place within a block of the hotel for food. Plus the hotel has a restaurant.

Room is clean. Bathroom is great. Beds are comfy - but keep in mind they are FULL size, not QUEEN size.

There is a mini fridge in the club level rooms. The bedside light needs attention and some of the outlets don't quite work but otherwise more than fine to stay for a week.

My biggest complaint. I can hear the elevator in my room. All night long. If you book, make sure to ask to stay in a room where you cannot hear the elevator. I'm not sure if its the highest floor issue or just being near the elevator issue. The front desk wouldn't tell me. So I would bring ear plugs just in case if the wooshing sound bothers you.

Finally you cannot beat the views!

Had to avoid our room as much as possible.
Pros:

My advice is to not "upgrade" to club levels! The elevators made absolutely terribile hammering noises that are heard througout the club levels. Seems like whatever the elevator main gear near the roof is having some kind of problem. Front staff were well aware of the issue but sounds like it has been going on for quite some time. Multiple guest were talking about it at. Elevators stopped working completely at one point and everyone had to use the service elevator which took 20 minutes to get down to the lobby. Rest of hotel was nice, but I wont be coming back.

Great hotel but needs to rethink its bar and restaurant.
Pros:

Beautiful rooms

Cons:

Uninspired bar and restaurant. Such a nice hotel should do better.
Our first night we went to the bar, sat at a table and were ignored by the bartender who was busy bs-Ing with 3 guys at the bar. We moved tables which had a menu, and waited. We finally decided to leave and as we got up the bartender finally acknowledged us and said we’d have to walk to the bar for service, if we wanted full service we’d have to go to the restaurant. He never said hello or acknowledged our presence until we were leaving. We stayed at the hotel 4 nights but never went back to the bar. This definitely tainted our whole experience.
