Our room had a wonderful view of lake Ponchatrain. Waking up from a nap seeing the sail boats was beautiful. The location is great lots of food and gas stations close by.
I needed to check in very early and tried to contact the hotel many times to never get an answer. I had booked a king suit with a pull out sofa and upon arrival I was told they only had two double beds available. My husband is 6'4 and didn't sleep well at all. There isn't any free parking, I had to pay each time I left the property. No option for 12 or 24hr pass. By the end of our one night say I spent $35 on parking alone. Though it said breakfast included it was not. Way over priced for the quality of what was served. . .
What in the world is happening Marriott??? The standard and quality of this hotel is horrible, pitiful, disgraceful when customers are paying to stay here.
Stayed here this past weekend during a volleyball tournament without the option to book elsewhere and I so angry and disappointed that our club booked us here.
Downstairs lobby presents and upscale hotel but as soon as your exit the elevator omg, you enter another world. A sad world.
Old, outdated, low quality furnishings, stained carpet, refrigerator that sits on the floor, old dented boxsprings, worn pillows, hard towels, the list goes on. Never again!
Food
Clean
The rooms are old not on purpose. They are dingy. The outside looked great but once you leave the lobby its like the motel 6.
The rooms, the hall ways, the bathroom. Everything was below standards.
Por fuera se ve bonito
Las habitaciones del hotel muy antiguo todo las camas muy pequeñas no es para el precio que tienen
Beautiful view!
It was a magnificent place!!!
Nothing
Rooms are equipped with refrigerator and microwave. We had a corner toom so its quite spacious. Marriott rewards members get free breakfast and upgrades. The breakfast room was nice. The breakfast is okay. More variety would be nice and it closes ar 9 am which is early. 10 am would be better. Hotel is clean and nicely renovated. The front desk staff are OK. Has one very nice front desk worker Shiao Yu. Overall was a good experience.
Only à la carte breakfast menu. Charge for parking

Absolutely abysmal. Worst Marriott I’ve ever been at. Carpet torn and lumpy. Paint peeling. Room smells. WiFi bad. Service slow. Zero redeeming qualities. Shut down, renovate, then reopen.
A pretty nice hotel close to the airport. The public spaces downstairs have been modernized more recently (?) than the rooms.
The room was nice, AC worked as should. The only a bit bothering thing was the noises from the corridor from other guest entering/exiting their rooms. No big deal but I just noted it.
I’m a Marriott Bonvoy member and have stayed at several Marriott properties around the world, but this was by far the most disappointing experience.
At around 2:00 PM, I called the front desk to ask why my room hadn’t been cleaned yet. I was told that it’s their “policy” to make rooms up until 4:00 PM, something I’ve never experienced in any other Marriott. When I asked to speak to a manager, the person who identified herself as the manager was rude, dismissive, and told me to “go ahead and change hotels” before hanging up on me.
To make things worse, housekeeping only came in to drop off toilet paper and didn’t actually clean or make the room. The overall attitude and lack of care were shocking, especially coming from a brand that’s usually known for its hospitality and professionalism.
I’m truly disappointed, this experience does not reflect the Marriott standard of service I’ve come to trust.
