I used to love the Royal Garden. I generally booked a superior room with garden view, with breakfast. I usually stayed five nights. However, the prices have just risen too much, so, although I always check the rates before I arrange to visit London, the Royal Garden is just too high. And, although their wonderful breakfast used to be available via room service, now there is an extra charge for room service.
This hotel is fantastic and now our new "go to" for trips to London. The room was excellent - clean, quiet and with very comfortable bedding. The rooms are not carpeted (there is an area rug over a hardwood-type floor) and the linens are fragrance-free - two essential things for allergy sufferers. The staff was crazy nice and helpful. Great neighborhood for restaurants, cafes, juice bars, shopping, etc., and of course, Hyde Park.
Service, breakfast, cleanliness, location
We had a problem with the room temperature control but it was fixed straight away
Location and environment
The hotel is very clean and the stuff is very polite and nice. Special thanks to the concierge Adam who helped with planning my trip back to the airport. Location of the hotel is really nice you can easy get to public transport.
Minor drawback: some waiting time before getting seated at breakfast, but overall not a big issue.
Wonderful hotel, highly recommend.
Nothing
Beautiful hotel next to Kensington Palace. Gorgeous views. Spacious room ( had Royal deluxe double room) and the shower water pressure absolutely lovely. Very clean. Staff was friendly and very accommodating.
Very clean and modern hotel. Great location. Our room (royal deluxe studio) did not have a view of the mews, as requested, nor a very nice view of the street. Also the vertical wing of the hotel was visible, which partly blocked the view, and also we mostly had to keep the curtains closed, as did the other rooms. This was disappointing, as we upgraded to a royal deluxe especially for the view. When the sofa was opened, to use as a bed for our 6year old, there was not enough space in the room, and there was only 1 chair to sit on. Did not seem like an upgraded room. I suspect the quality of rooms of the same room type varies. We loved the piano bar, the young Scottish pianist was marvelous, very talented, very polite, he gladly took requests and switched between genres, and the older pianist was also great, and also the bar tender Daniel. Origin restaurant had great food, felt gourmet and also comfort at the same time.
Staff were REALLY HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL
Could barely fit my suitcase into room.. then could not open cupboard doors
I booked this hotel for my wife's 50th birthday.
We we're greeted outside by a friendly doorman who took our luggage and arranged for them to be taken to our rooms.
Wd had an issue with one of the rooms but this was rectified and we were given an upgrade.
The rooms were spotless and had all that we could need, the bathroom was huge as was the bed, bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby.
We had breakfast in the morning that was buffet style and lots of selections at the buffet.
The location was excellent for what we wanted, we went to the Churchill arms for a couple of drinks and then got ready for our meal at Maggie Jones's which was very nice.
All in all a great hotel in a great location.
Everything about this hotel was top quality. Everyone that works there made us feel well taken care of.
E' un luogo magico, con una vista unica e ambienti ricercati e di grande valore.
E' stato tutto fantastico
