My boyfriend and I stayed at the Royal Lancaster London for two nights in mid-November 2025, and it was hands-down one of the most romantic getaways we've ever had in the city. We were celebrating our anniversary and wanted something special – this hotel delivered beyond our expectations.
Location is unbeatable – right on the edge of Hyde Park, steps from Lancaster Gate tube station. We spent our mornings strolling hand-in-hand through the park (even in the crisp autumn air, the Italian Gardens and Serpentine were gorgeous), then easily hopped on the tube to Covent Garden or the South Bank for evening plans. Coming back to the hotel felt like returning to a peaceful oasis amid London's buzz.
We booked a Deluxe Superior room with Hyde Park views, and wow – the floor-to-ceiling windows made the skyline and park feel like they were part of our room. Waking up to misty park views with a cup of tea in bed was pure bliss. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and so comfortable – luxurious White Company toiletries, a massive rainfall shower in the marble bathroom (with underfloor heating – genius in November!), plush bedding, and thoughtful touches like USB ports everywhere. No noise at all; we slept like babies.
The staff made everything feel personal and warm. From the welcoming check-in (they even had a little anniversary note and Prosecco waiting – such a sweet surprise!) to the concierge who helped us book a cozy dinner reservation nearby, everyone was genuinely friendly and attentive without being over-the-top. We had breakfast both mornings in the restaurant – the full English was delicious, and the continental options were fresh and plentiful. Views over the park while sipping coffee? Yes please.
In the evenings, we relaxed in the lounge bar with cocktails – intimate lighting, great drinks list, and that perfect "just us" vibe. We didn't even feel the need to leave the hotel much; it felt like our own little romantic bubble.
If you're looking for a luxurious, couple-focused stay in London with incredible views, comfort, and service that makes you feel special, book here without hesitation. We’re already planning our return. Highly recommend – 5 stars all the way!

Myself and my fiancé stayed at this beautiful hotel on our 1st year engaged /16 years together anniversary and what a beautiful stay it was. This is not the first time we stayed at the Royal Lancaster, every time we have visited the staff have always made us feel so welcome. Doreen from front of house made our experience extra special. We can not recommend this hotel enough. The rooms are amazing and so is the food. The views from our hotel room was beautiful even on a grey day. Also the hotel is only a 10/15 minute walk away from Oxford street shopping. I can not Thank all the staff enough for making us feel so welcome, Thank you ❤️

Very nice hotel. Chaymae at the reception is very kind. She took care of my check in and escorted me to the room. Full of hospitality.
Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean, staff were very professional and friendly, ate in Italian and Thia restaurants and both served up a great meal, will defo use again.
