great location, old tired hotel, expensive ($10,000 for a week), appalling housekeeping

House keeping was appalling, complained after room not cleaned properly for three days. promises made by hotel manangement to address only to be let down again on the next day.

The location the extra things hotel did e.g chocolate and herbal tea the choices on the menu and the overall elegant atmosphere and views

Pros:

The location of the hotel is excellent! Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. We were given an upgrade (higher floor) for my birthday. We can never fault this hotel which is why we choose to stay here each year during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
