Faires Hotel und unkompliziert eine Lösung gefunden
Pros:

Gute Lage, klimatisierte Zimmer, freundliches und lösungsorientiertes Personal

Cons:

Erstes Zimmer mit defekter Klima, wurde in der 2. Nacht gewechselt. Wie immer in England auch hier Teppiche überall.

Good localization, friendly staff, excellent breakfast with vegan options.

Cons:

We couldn’t control the air conditioner from our room (it was very warm in July!) and it turned off anytime by itself. When we called the front desk, we were told that they controlled the air conditioning 😕

Air con was on eco mode (controlled centrally) which meant it turned off during night which meant my sleep was disrupted. When i mentioned to reception she explained why it had happened and said that I should have called down.

An excellent stay right in the heart of Cardiff.
Pros:

We stayed here for our son’s graduation. The hotel is centrally located in Cardiff which meant we could leave our car in the hotel car park (for a fee) and walk to the University and the Utilita Arena really easily.
The hotel kindly upgraded our rooms to Superior Kings which was a lovely surprise. The rooms were spacious, super clean, quiet and had air conditioning which was gratefully appreciated as it was 30 degrees during our visit. In the bathroom, there were useful instructions for the shower which more hotels should do! The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious! I would recommend this hotel to any one wanting a good night’s sleep in the heart of Cardiff.

Cons:

The fridge wasn’t very cold.
